I’d like for someone to compare actual results to their way too early projections. I wonder if these projections are ever close to accurate.

These ones typically aren't, no, because there is a lot of movement after the combines. Guys who are late in the 1st now, but are physical marvels tend to move up the board. Also, guys that interview well tend to move up as well. Kuzma was projected in the 2nd round, some even said undrafted, but he performed well at the combine and interviewed off the charts.

Guys like Diallo will almost certainly be a late 1st round pick given his athletic ability. Someone will take a chance hoping they can get his head screwed on straight and develop all the talents he has into skills.

I would be happy to have a guy that can shoot like him, but I would be happier to unload Deng with the pick. I’m good with the rookies we have, got 4 of them currently, not really interested in adding more.

To bad shai alexander exploded these last several gms....imagine if we were in line to draft him, 2 6 6+ pg, he could be what livingston should've been had it not been for the injury

Even though we wont this Cavs pick to be good the better it gets the more money we have to pay that rookie contract, meaning less cap space come July.

    Two sides to this coin

I'm positive we are NOT keeping this pick if we get both PG13 and LeBron...

LiAngelo Ball has declared for the 2018 NBA draft, his agent, Harrison Gaines, told Yahoo Sports.

Ball, 19, has formally submitted early-entry paperwork to enter the June draft

He ain't getting drafted. With the circus around that kid, both of his own making and his father's, nobody is using a draft pick on him.

He'll be lucky to get a camp invite.

Ball will get an invite...as a good PR move. He'll stick around a bit but I see his future playing internationally when he gets older. There are many skilled players out there who are probably better than him.

Even his own father is on record saying he's not pro material...

I’m really feeling Devonte Graham is this years Josh Hart.

I’m not sure what LiAngelo does well enough to compete at a pro level. I don’t think he could run up and down the court long enough, much less display any true skills.

Probably would have been a decent tight end.

Would prefer more wings that are 3/d types.....hutchinson, brown, zhair, frazier types

I think Hart will fill that role. Graham will be a more traditional point guard that will run the offense. While Hart was commendable in place of Lonzo, I’d rather have Josh focusing his energy on defense and getting open 3’s than running point.

A bench of Graham, Hart, and Kuz is a solid base to a strong bench. Add a defensive center there, and another 3/D winger as you said, we’re in business.

Sure...graham n duval are the projected picks on draftnet (graham is 2nd rd). I think it would be easier transition for 3/d wing rookies to make impact than a pg (time to learn how to affect gms on lots of lvls). 3/d athletic guys just need to focus on 3 n d lol. I would still take graham or duval as the 3rd pg with a true vet as #2. The pace they play is so ideal for an athletic wing to succeed early n quickly (kuz, hart)

Well, also take into account Graham’s senior status. The transition for guys like Clarkson, Hart, Kuz have been relatively easier because of their extra experience.

I like Graham a lot, but I don’t think we are keeping this pick.

Anybody watch the last few rounds of the tournament?

That German kid from Michigan, Moritz Wagner, looks like a second round sleeper I wouldn't mind throwing some cash down for. Big body 6'11 - 240, tough as nails, and good game all around, surprisingly adept defensively.
