it's exciting to watch these prospects but it's more likely they're out of the league after their first contract...

Bamba's stock is heating up: Mavs want him, Bulls want him and the cbags are rumored to want to trade up for him.

This is relevant to the Lakers in that it allows us to take Robinson at 25 if he falls there.

ATL doesn't mind moving down from 3, but also have the 19th pick and could potentially look to move down from there as well.

The Bulls want to move up from 7, but have the 22nd pick and if it's too costly to go get Bamba at 3 over the Mavs or if the Mavs strike a deal with Atl to move up from 5 to 3, then maybe the Bulls draft Robonson at 22.

So I'm hoping, the Bulls f*** over the Mavs and cbags and go get Bamba, which means they don't draft Robinson at 22 and hopefully he drops to us at 25. Otherwise, we might have to link up with Atl and move up to 19 to go get our potential rim protector.

I rather do this than tie up our cap and throw money at Capela and wait for Morey to match...which he will.

    Whoa Bamba !!!

That's crazy. "Mo Bamba is not human" ..... LOL reminds me of back in the day during the Smush years with Kobe trying to beat Phoenix and someone on CL busted out with, "ooooh Barbosa's an alien he's so fast"

I was thinking of him sprinting on the break (Since he is so fast) and Zo hitting him in stride. Easy money!

But on the block is good too. Fo sho down lo

would we want another 2nd pick for this draft? i ask cause phi has 4 if them, 2 in the upper 30s, i think we have a better shot at getting impactful player at lower 30s then the 47th that we hold

For giving up what of our talent? That's the thing with giving up any of the remaining prime draft successes. We knocked them out of the park with lottery luck and elite scouting skills.

F*** eagerly blowing them out now to buy a whole new team for "the ring is the only thing". Understandably it may happen in that quest. The player fan in me wants that to not be casually accepted.

    Mini rant not at you.

I hope there's a way to talk to Rich Paul to figure out what Lebron wants to do before the draft. We really need to keep Randle using this pick and maybe others. Randle is honestly the difference between us MAYBE being able to compete with GS next season and probably having to wait another year for Lonzo/Ingram/Kuz to develop. If we're being honest, while I don't think Randle will end up being the best player amongst our kids, he's the most "ready" to run with PG and Lebron now.

Actually if you lose on Randle, you probably trade a couple kids for an established guy. Some might see it as a lose lose situation.

What’s so crazy about that? Randle has a unique skill set, what he lacks in offensive polish and basketball IQ, he makes up for in athletic ability and versatility. Randle allows a team with Paul George and LeBron to play that so-called death lineup and switch everything. There aren’t a lot of players like him that have the speed and strength to defend positions 1-5. Kuzma is absolutely deadly offensive threat, but he can’t guard 5’s, he can barely guard 4’s. Lonzo, Ingram, PG, LeBron, Randle is scary on defense, good luck scoring on all that length, speed, and athleticism.

They were just talking about anfernee Simmons as a guy to develop. I'd be intrigued. Kid is raw but he'd have time especially if we land the big fish.

Because who are we going to be able to sign that can give us Randle's production? If we can't move Deng, we have to stretch him. That would leave us with only the room exception to sign another player in addition to LBJ and PG. And even if we move Deng, who else on the market can we sign with the money we would need for Randle's cap hold? That's why I'm saying it.

Brian Bowen II- G, 6'7", Louisville, Freshman. He was held out of college for the season after being investigated for taking money as a college kid. Billed as a shooter. There's not a lot of footage on this guy for me to work with, but from what I can tell he's a decent athlete with a jumper. He struggled mightily in his first Combine game, but played a little better his second. Some thought he was a 1st rounder, but he's plummeted down most mocks.

Jacob Evans- G/F, 6'6", Cincinnati, Junior. I actually really like Evans. He projects as a good 3 and D candidate with good athleticism. Not a strong ball handler and makes questionable decisions sometimes, can play out of control and/or careless. Still he plays hard and averaged 1.3 steals and a block a game as a wing. He's got great tools.

Wenyen Gabriel, F, 6'9", Kentucky, Sophomore. Built like a thin PF, Gabriel provides a little of everything. He averaged 7/5 with a block, nearly a steal, a more than half an assist. He shoots well from outside and was a 5 star recruit coming into school. For whatever reason it just hasn't worked out well for him. He's lost his starting job last season and is really only leaving school because their incoming class is going to push him out. Could be an interesting flier.
