That rumor comes from Pelton. It's meaningless.

I've been doing more film watch on some of the guys and I'm quickly thinking Hutchison is below DiVincenzo, Gary Trent Jr., and even Grayson Allen for me.

Hutchison has some solid talent, but too often he exhibits a poor feel for the game. He makes up his mind before reading the defense too often and he sees passes a couple seconds later than he should (think Julius Randle from a year or two ago). That's not to say I wouldn't take him, because he good tools to be a role player in the NBA, but I just have him behind other guys who have a better feel.

Gary Trent Jr.'s defense is often inconsistent. He's too young to play the type of lazy defense he shows at times. His offensive ability is solid and he should be able to get some of his game off right away as at least a bench player. If he doesn't grow anymore, his ceiling is pretty low. I'm moving him down a bit in my rankings as well.

Haven't really watched DiVincenzo or Trent Jr shoot the ball but there was a long clip on LakersNation (maybe here too?) of Allen shooting the ball in his Lakers workout yesterday I think. He has a real nice stroke. How does it compare to the first 2 and how's the consistency shooting the ball compared amongst the 3 of them?

Trent is probably the best shooter, DiVincenzo the most natural (potential for improvement), Allen probably in third.

He’s too small. His frame looks like it should be on a 6’8 or so player, but he’s a guard. That’s the sort of issue that lands a player in the G-League or overseas for their career. He looks more like a football player honestly.

He'd make a solid tight end. He can legitimately shoot, but his foot speed is unimpressive and he's not the smartest tool in the shed.

That would be a doomed combo .... dumb player and our "bull****" basketball staff. You keep him LaVar in your higher paying and groundbreaking new league for phenoms out of HS. How's that going by the way? Judging by comments following tweets and reports every time you open your mouth everyone hates your guts. Bet they're all clamoring to get in the BBB league.

I ask the following question with the hope that some of you can answer unbiased and objectively as if you were a scout.

I haven’t seen any games where Doncic has played, but from highlights he’s a player in a small forwards body that is a good passer and perimeter shooter....

Having said that, who’s the better long term prospect (who will be the better player In 7 years)?

    Lonzo or Doncic?

Yeah, all of Gelo's "highlights" have been in shootarounds. He has a nice stroke, and a little more athletic than he appears, but he's undersized and lacks the agility most guys have at his size. Haven't seen any scrimmage tape either. Right now, he's just PJ Tucker without the defense and grittiness. PJ really surprised me with his strength and rebounding this pasts series while undersized.

First Round mock 2.0 (with Combine and draft rumors in tow)-

    1. Suns- DeAndre Ayton, C, 7'1" Arizona.

    2. Kings- Marvin Bagley III, PF/C, 6'11" Duke.

    3. Hawks- Luka Doncic, PG, 6'9" Slovenia. There are rumors Doncic could drop, but with ATL having guard drama, why pass?

    4. Grizzlies- Jaren Jackson Jr., PF, 6'10", Michigan State.

    5. Dallas- Mohamed Bamba- C, 7', Texas.

    6. Orlando- Collin Sexton- PG, 6'2", Alabama.

    7. Chicago- Miles Bridges- SF/PF, 6'7", Michigan St.

    8. Cleveland- Trae Young, PG, 6'2", Oklahoma.

    9. New York- Michael Porter Jr., SF/PF, 6'10", Missouri.

    10. Philadelphia- Mikal Bridges, SG/SF, 6'7", Villanova.

    11. Charlotte- Wendell Carter, PF, 6'10", Duke.

    12. Los Angeles Clippers- Robert Williams, PF/C, 6'9", Texas A&M.

    13. Los Angeles Clippers- Lonni Walker IV- SG, 6'5", Miami.

    14. Denver- Zhaire Smith, SG, 6'5", Texas Tech.

    15. Washington- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, PG/SG, 6'6", Kentucky.

    16. Suns- Kevin Knox, SF, 6'9", Kentucky.

    17. Bucks- Jacob Evans- SG/SF, 6'6", Cincinnati. I love Evans's talent and this fit for the Bucks is solid. Tony Snell isn't cutting it.

    18. Spurs- Troy Brown- SG, 6'7", Oregon.

    19. Hawks- Mitchell Robinson- C, 7', N/A.

    20. Wolves- Dzanan Musa- SF, 6'9", Cedevita.

    21. Jazz- Omari Spellman, PF/C, 6'9", Villanova. Performed really well in the Combine. A little bit of a project, but good fit.

    22. Bulls- Anfernee Simmons, PG/SG, 6'4", N/A.

    23. Pacers- Chandler Hutchison, SF, 6'7", Boise St

    24. Blazers-Jalen Brunson- PG, 6'3", Villanova.

    25. Lakers- Donte DiVincenzo- PG/SG, 6'5", Villanova. If he stays in (I think he should), I can't see the Lakers letting him slide past. He's got that winning mentality and a skill set that fits wonderfully for this team. It was very close between he and Kevin Huerter. Whoever shows better in individual workouts probably gets the nod.

    26. Sixers- Kevin Huerter- SF, 6'7", Maryland. The best shooter in the draft. Probably a steal.

    27. Boston- De'Anthony Melton- PG, 6'4", USC.

    28. Warriors- Aaron Holiday- PG, 6'1", UCLA.

    29. Nets- Khyri Thomas- SG, 6'3", Creighton.

    30. Hawks- Keita Bates-Diop- SF, 6'7", Ohio State.

Lonzo. I remember a few drafts back Mario Hezonja was getting similar praise to Doncic with a few highlight plays and eye catching athleticism. He hasn't done much yet, and I'm sure these guys will end up pretty good later down the line, but Zo has already shown impact on this team and he can only get better from here.

Doncic is 12x the player Hezonja was, but I agree I'd prefer Lonzo.

I am generally more high on players that have the mental competitiveness to be the best than have hyped skill sets. That’s assessed on a case by case basis, but how many guys have we heard about that have this or that skill, size, wingspan, etc., but don’t produce, don’t play hungry, sit on the damn bench for years. The guys that may be a little less talented or sized even, but have that battle mentality are the keepers in my book and are easy to get behind as a fan.

Jaylen Adams- St. Bonaventure, 6'1", PG, Senior. Sweet shooting, good pick and roll play. He's an average athlete so he plays a weird, herky-jerky style at times offensively. He could be better defensively. He had two 40 point games last year where he shot 13 threes in each game. A-10 Player of the Year.

    LiAngelo Ball- Covered that.

Tyus Battle- Syracuse, 6'6", SG, Sophomore. Didn't look great in the Combine. He's a good athlete with good tools. High volume shooter, but he gets to the FT line a lot. He can be overly aggressive. Takes a lot of shots, but isn't necessarily a great shooter. Good in the passing lanes.

Devon Hall- Virginia, 6'5", PG/SG, Senior. He's a solid player, just unspectacular. Not the best athlete, but solid. A better than expected passer. The kind of smart play you'd expect from a 4 year college player.

Dusan Ristic- Arizona, 7', C, Senior. Big man started next to Ayton. Utterly average in basically every way.

Thomas Welsh- UCLA, 7', C, Senior. Big man, showed a little bit of shooting potential. Solid body. A slightly better Ristic.
