I wouldn't if my team was getting beat in the conference finals by 44 points. Thomas, Horford and the rest can clearly get you to the playoffs as they have the top seed, but that team cannot compete with the Cavs, and they wouldn't compete with the Warriors either. Thomas is damn good, but I would not want to pay him that amount of money he is about to command.
i've been saying this for the past two years: boston has no blue chip talent. they don't believe in thomas (they shouldn't--he's fun, but not a franchise cornerstone) and don't want to pay him long-term. they like horford but know he's an expensive 3rd option. the two bkn picks are their best bet at turning the corner, either via trade or hitting the draft jackpot. that said, with those two picks in their pocket, they can win 50 games per year while rebuilding, which is really nice.
Spending $495 on shoes has nothing to do with confidence. That's certified KrAzY. But honestly, the $1000 pair might be smart. Autographs / memorabilia are big business.
Lavar the A-hole is going to look like a genius and become KrAzY wealthy if Lonzo is a Laker and is truly a really good player heading for superstar status. If Lonzo can have a great rookie season with the baggage from his dad, target on his back and opponent arenas' hate targeting him every night, he is the real deal.
Anyway, that Ball jersey wouldn't be a waste when we burn ThibsPlz at stake in the PG thread, you can throw it it in the pyre to keep the flames burn brighter.
