yeah but I take it you haven't seen his stroke. It's fine, doesn't need to be worked on. I think he'll develop it over time with reps and consistency.

If Fox had Rajon Rondo or Jason Kidd PG skills, his lack of shooting wouldn't bother me so much.

And even though he plays pretty good D in college, it's imperative for NBA defenders to fight over screens. Part of that involves "getting skinny", which he'd obviously do well at, but sometimes you actually have to fight over it. His lack of strength and wiry frame would make it easy for the screener bump him off quite a bit. He'd have to put on a few pounds of muscle. Emphasis on "a few". He doesn't need to do what Ben Simmons did last year.

Pretty much echoes some of my early thoughts. Ball can answer all doubts and make this a done deal by taking care of business in workouts and interviews

I was higher on Russell coming out of Ohio State.

Ball can change my mind, though.

This section of the article was worth the read.

"Not only is Lonzo dissimilar from his father, he is also dissimilar from most 5-star, future pro basketball sensations who arrive on campus feeling as if they are gifts who should be wrapped up in bows.

"Considerate, not entitled" is the description one source used to describe the impression Ball left on everyone around the UCLA basketball program.

Even more important to NBA scouts is Ball's dedication to his craft.

"In the recent years of UCLA basketball, the only player who worked harder on his game was Russ Westbrook the summer between his freshman and sophomore seasons," the source said."

I think you take Lonzo and don't look back. He's just a far better fit for what we're trying to do offensively. Take Harry Giles at 28 and call it a day.

Giles has had multiple knee surgeries at age 19. I say pass.

Given our track record the 28th pick (if we keep it) will be someone under the radar IMO.

I still like Jordan Bell if he's still there even though he's a bit undersized.

I always said Clarkson as the 6th man on a title team if where he fits best.

If Lakers HAVE to trade for someone and they dont want to give the #2, DAR, #28, Deng or Mosgov for George. If George tells the Pacers he aint resigning and only promises to sign an extension with the Lakers and no other team, do the Pacers make that trade?

Good point. I'd LOVE to take Bam Adebayo with the 28th pick but I just don't think he'll be there. That guy is a warrior.

If the Lakers selected either Zo or Josh Jackson, I'd be happy. Both are hometown boys and it be great to have the hometown boys leading the Lakers back to the NBA Championship! :Pwf:
