They can sign Hayward out right and trade picks for PG, what makes you think they can't? Alot of their starters are very good role players with cheap contracts, only big contract they have on the team is Horford

Because I look at the big picture and PG won't let it happen.

he wants WIN more than being a laker, we just falling for that "fake news", until PG rightfully says get me to LA like Melo did with NYK nothing is for certain. Also even if not PG, they can trade for Butler and sign Hayward, same difference

i think boston takes fultz and runs. i think they sign hayward and put in a nominal bid on george but don't pursue that trade heavily. i could actually see them try to get griffin cheaper. i think george wanting to be a laker is real and is a problem for other interested parties (and indy).

for those saying we're not owed: i disagree. we traded for a first ballot hofer in his prime and got it yanked in a VERY shady manner. we were owed the #1 pick in the towns or simmons draft, not three #2s. i still demand my acreage.

and i'm really not interested in keeping this pick knowing it's not fultz.

still, though, just such a positive that have it in your pocket.

Lonzo will end the discussion of who will be the primary ball-handler. Russell will be our primary scorer at the 2 spot, and Lonzo will elevate his game.

If it's not a one-person draft, why are you upset it's not Fultz?

    Boom. Lawyered.

I'm not going to trade DLo, no way. Although I want to sew his mouth off, his talent is unique when he is engaged basketball wise.

Actually Butler is more likely since he's locked for another 2 yrs.

PG's leverage is he can leave after 1.

    So hardly the same difference

Just feeling so sad right now for Phoenix dropping to #4, Philly losing our pick until next year which most certainly won't be as good, and Orlando losing our 2019 1st round pick as it now turns into two second-round picks in '17 and '18.

    not sure i said it wasn't a one-person draft...

i think fultz is in a tier by himself, and picks 2-8 or 9 are pretty even. again, thrilled to have a shot at anyone (and really the trade asset), but fultz, to me, is the obvious #1 pick. i'm guessing it will play out just like the towns draft in this regard. there might be a little early smoke, but boston's taking fultz and only maybe working out others.
