Randle trying to acclimate his bull in a china shop game to the Triangle while Phil plays mind games with him? That's not fair to the kid after all the work he put in losing his FAT.

This is where I wish we didn't trade dlo, but now we need a pg to run Luke's system, there's where Lonzo is viewed more important than KP .... Damnit we should have tried to trade dlo to the Mavs and offered the Knicks that pick and our 28th pick for KP

    :Nope:

Phil, Phil, Phil. This guy has done nothing but s*** on this kid, before he was drafted, when he was drafted, right after he was drafted. I imagine Porzingis would be happy to be shipped out of that. But brilliant move to try and drive up his trade value by constantly treating him like he isn't valuable at all, Phil. Do what's best for the franchise? That's not trading this kid, that's you resigning.

Wouldn't have worked. The report is they want Jackson. He'll be long gone before the Mavs pick.

But I don't care about Lonzo enough not to trade the pick for Zinger. Even with a jacked up offense that Melo killed everytime he touched the ball, he was still put up good numbers. Him and Ingram as our forwards would be devastating and we'd still have plenty of cap space to sign to max free agents to add to those two.

if i were in rob pelinka's shoes, i would be SERIOUSLY considering moving the #2 for porzingis, then all other assets not named ingram for george.

    lopez/zubac
    porzingis/nance
    george/deng
    ingram/young return?
    clarkson/ennis

you're already near the playoffs and will have cash to spend next year. two young possible stars in ingram/zinger, one already star in george. ballgame.

And no f****** LeBron on the team

No chance in hell but just love the thought of Westbrook, George and any other young Stud plus our young core in place with no LeBron.

I guess I'm the only one not high on Porzingis.

No, you're not, I think he's good with a chance to be great, but I'm good with taking Ball and hanging onto Randle and seeing what his 3rd year brings. But then part of that is admittedly how bad of a look it would be to have just admitted we made a mistake with Russ at 2 (could have taken Porzingis), PLUS giving up another #2 pick and recent #7 pick. That's like giving up 2 number 2 overall picks and a 7th pick for a guy we could have just drafted. The sound/idea of that is awful, even if it does turn out to be reasonable.

I haven't paid that much attention but if a powerhouse lineup like that with athleticism, skills and all that length could be put together without LeBron, then it gets my attention.

Not sure if its just me, but I sort of feel like we don't have a top pick anymore. Maybe with all this commotion it seems like we will get rid of it/whoever.

Look on the bright side though, we DO have the pick and we could have easily not. So now we get to draft a kid who could be damn good and a big piece of starting to turn our franchise around, or we could even trade it for an already great player. We do have the pick, and we have great options because of it. Had we lost it the last month would have been incredibly boring/depressing.

Think I'm more worried about us panicking and trading it away.
