yeah, when i saw DFS was out on top of everything, i was pretty worried. justifiably so, it turns out.
Since Luka has arrived, DFS has been shooting 30% from three. Mostly on wide open shots. Dude has to play better. Him and Vanderbilt are going to get the most wide open shots out of anyone on the roster... Gotta knock them down. There's no reason they can't both hit at least 38% of their threes with how wide open they are in mostly corner threes.
I expect DFS to get into a rhythm and do just that. I expect Vando to be about 30-33%. Which all things considered is fine for what he brings to the table. But he has to take them with confidence.
He’s been pretty awful on offense the last 10 .35% from the floor and 26% from 3.Cant finish at the rim either
He's a connector, glue guy. So yeah when we're trotting out non-NBA players or units with deep bench guys... that's a non-adhesive surface. He's still a good starter, the record when we were only down Rui supported that, but that's with a healthy group.
He's 12 for 41 on wide open 3s ( 51.9% shots frequency) in his latest 15 games . 29% Some elite bricking
Fair enough Being a glue guy doesn’t prevent you from making wide open shots at a reasonable %.when your in the mid 30’s from the floor and mid 20’s from 3 that’s unacceptable.
His numbers are pretty close to his career averages, this is pretty much who he is. He might get on a hot streak from deep eventually, but he's not a shooter/scorer.
Yeah .... and Rui is still getting better. He's got the athleticism and explosiveness and skills to take his game to a higher level. No FAT on that dude.
