He also got away with a LOT of offensive fouls. He got caught once with that hook he gave to Ronnie Price on the drive, but there were at least three other instances where he straight up pushed our guys with his off arm to create space. It wasn't subtle. Still, I do like his mindset and wouldn't mind having a guy like him at PG.
You've got to respect the fight in him, but he was definitely pissing me off. If he had caught me with the same elbow he hit Kobe with, I'd have some words with him. You're right he liked to body up, but when you responded he'd flop and get a call. I didn't like that. I appreciated that the refs gave him the offensive foul with that crazy hook job he gave to Price.
i think the refs got shamed into calling that offensive foul. they invoked "verticality" on kobe at the end of regulation (something that i'd love to see used on the james hardens of the world...ever), but had allowed lowry to initiate contact and shoot fts several times.
Ooooh you like the Nick Young foul? Standing pretty much still and having Lowry jump into him for the foul? Fantastic. Especially after watching Kobe's drives. I don't think Kobe gets fouled as much as he b****es about, but certainly more than Harden or Paul. And definitely more than Lowry last night.
Thank you for posting all of those. Gotta hand it to the Raptors fans they know when to appreciate greatness and see it like it is. Man! I enjoyed that.
