Always good for our team to have the Grizzlies on the calendar when we need a win.

Don’t worry, all the whistle sounds will wake you up. Refs were like cow bells on steroids.

    Because you are a**?

You have Edey, let me knock the s*** out of Reaves face again.

Just like Ja taking a gun safety course.

I say just one, since they need to keep a hand on the ball.

Is that a garbage man I see wearing a paper bag over his head?

And fans have the worst kind of bias. Those same whistles were blowing constantly for both teams.

Yes can’t put the recycling in with the trash.

    Hard to smell too.

Was it over when the “Germans” bombed Pearl Harbor? It’s the Lakers. It’s never over and
the whistles made sure it lasted forever.

Any screw up Ja can do, Dlo can do better.

You are what the Lakers are to Denver.

    Didn’t work for us.

It got too close for my comfort.

    You rang?

You aren’t the only fan base that says that.

    Lazy and uninspiring start.
Just like Ja taking a gun safety course.

Mike was in the foxhole and the Lakers dropped a grenade out of a drone on him.

    0 for 2. Looking good.

Do you mean a Fox hole? See what I did there?

    And water is wet.

Max going all DPOY on him.

You guys are young too. You shouldn’t need all the rest.

Fox is never going to be great regardless of if the other player is wearing a headband.

    Just like the Kings.

Apparently you can’t teach defending the corner 3 either.

Mike Brown says hold my beer.

I thought you signed him so you can get his Social Security payments.

    AD was Gobbling them up.

    Ham says hold my beer.

You have Mr. Potato head. That makes you Mrs. potato head.

Didn’t we already beat you this season?

Just when it was getting good.

Kings are one of those NBA teams that other teams practice on.

Oh you got beamed. Just not how you thought.

Too many Laker fans there cheering for your fans to be heard.

Never thought of it this way but probably true.

At least it wasn’t the GS/Memphis game score.

Man I enjoy what's waftin' in from the kitchen when Cookie gets cookin' after games like that...SAC tears? My favorite!

King fan: I’m just going to skip the first half from now on.
    Cookie: Just like the Kings.

i'm sure they're going to beat us saturday, so getting this win was good. that said, the fans being bewildered by them not being good is bewildering to me. they've overachieved their talent for a couple years, imo. and both huerter and murray turning into pumpkins was definitely going to be a very bad thing for an already thin roster. fox and sabonis are very good--maybe good enough to be your top two on a contender (i think they're as good as tatum/brown, for example). but as we've said many times, you need those 3-4 other guys that are just rock solid two-way players. they don't have them.

Yeah maybe the Kings will turn it around, just inexplainable that they are mediocre early

oh my point was that it's very explainable. they don't have a ton of talent on the roster. like us, their secondary players are one-way guys, and some of them have even lost that one way.

huerter and murray are still there...technically. and they moved harrison barnes, who was more useful to them than they thought, imo. derozan's the buzzier name, but barnes is just a dirty work/glue guy, imo. with monk there, they didn't really need a 4th scorer.

that said, barnes did have a down year last year, so i can see the motivation to make a change, but people acted like they just added derozan for nothing.

oh, and i forgot that during their best year they also had remarkably good health, like their top 7 guys barely missed any time all year.

^ health plus they just weren't that good in the first place, despite being a bad matchup for us. In 2022-2023 they won 48 games and were the 3rd seed, but look at the West that year. Nuggets were obviously legit at 57-25 and the eventual champs, but the 2 seed was that Grizzlies team we beat pretty handily in the first round. They've since improved their supporting cast around their three main guys. Suns were the 4 seed at 45-37 and had Durant for like 10 regular season games after they traded for him. Clippers were the 5 seed with their usual Kawhi in and out of the lineup all season and then going out again in the first round series. Warriors were the 6 seed and we beat them convincingly as well.

That was a weak year for the West, which is part of why we were able to put together a new team at the deadline and make the WCF (not to say it was a fluke, that team was legit good). The West has gotten much stronger overall since then while the Kings have stayed the same and gotten less health luck.
