I'd forgotten this thread. I love that they were mad that Randle was tearing them up, because it's usually us begging to stop some opposing player. Randle must look like such a lucky pick falling all the way to us. Also, they sold us the rights to Clarkson? I thought that was just our pick, or at most we traded for the pick and then took him. They took him and then traded his rights to us? News to me, but damn what a move by our FO.

 

I think technically they drafted and traded him, but really we told them who to draft and then paid them for it. It's like your buddy going to buy something for you. Yeah sure they purchased it, but it's your cash and it was yours all along.

 

That game had to be especially tough for the Wiz. They beat the Cavs, then they lose to the Lakers who are coming off a loss to the 0-18 Sixers. Oh, and a player they essentially gave us for free (since a couple million to a billionaire owner doesn't mean much) ended up playing better than their starting sg...and is likely going to be better most of the season.

As long as Boron isn't the coach of this team on Tax Day, we have a promising core. Randle is 20 years old and just grabbed 19 boards in his 19th NBA game. In 5-6 years, it could be us vs. the Wolves for Western conference dominance
