These guys are balling. We are making plays. Our pitchers are making pitches and we are getting those hits. I would like to see a Starting pitcher get is 7 solid innings but right now Roberts is pulling all the right strings. He did the same last year but we didn't get timely hits. This year we are getting those hits. So hyped! I'll say it too... I really want a sweep. I don't want the cubs to sniff a victory let alone get one. Lets keep the pedal down boys
Saw some post game interviews from the Cubs last night that made me chuckle. That anorexic runt Carl Edwards Jr. said the Cubs would tie the series and Joe Maddon gave off this attitude that Dodgers have been lucky in the first 2 games. Roberts needs to tell his crew that they need to unload in Game 3. Winning 9-1 Or something and get them to completely submit. Then sweep their a** on Wednesday.
Dude that caught the ball does it regularly and gave this one back to Turner for some not figured out yet thing he'd like in return. https://sports.yahoo.com/watch-justin-turner-three-run-031414510.html Turner hit his homer to straight away center field, where it cleared the fence with room to spare. But the ball never touched the ground. It was caught by a man with a black baseball glove, wearing a Chase Utley Dodgers jersey. He ran 10-12 feet from his seat, stuck his glove out over the railing, and caught one of the most important baseballs in Dodgers postseason history. “I’m a lefty,” Hupp said. “I’ve dislocated my right shoulder so many times, I had to resort to my son’s glove on my left hand. So the last five or six home run balls I’ve caught, I’ve caught with my left hand.” So he was using his son’s glove on his non-preferred hand, and — wait a minute, did he say “the last five or six home run balls I’ve caught?” Keith Hupp, a lifelong Dodgers fan, catches Justin Turner’s walk-off home run in Game 2 of the Dodgers-Cubs NLCS. (MLB.com) He did indeed. Hupp has been a season ticket holder for 10 years, and with those seats on the edge of the seats in center field, he’s caught more than a few homers. In fact, he’s caught eight home runs “on the fly,” and has twice as many as that in his collection. He’d even caught a Turner home run before, and in the playoffs no less. Last October, he caught Turner’s home run against Jake Arrieta. Hupp likes collecting home run balls so much (he’s got 24 in his collection) that he actually arranged a trade with the fan who caught Cody Bellinger’s record-tying 35th home run back in September. He gave that fan a game-used Bellinger jersey in exchange. This time, though, Hupp will be the one giving up the home run ball. After he caught it, Hupp gave it to a security guard immediately and was escorted underneath the stadium to actually meet Turner and work out a trade. That home run ball was important to Turner (and to the Dodgers), and he wanted it back. That takes a lot of trust, but something tells me that Turner’s good for it.
Man, there's a special buzz about this team that you kinda get a feeling about. The Cubs had it last year, the Dodgers have it this year.
Dodgers need to work on their base running in the off season. Bells not running that ball out cost the Dodgers a run there. f***!
6-0 in the playoffs, this team is very fun to watch. Looking like a WS appearance is at least going to happen, if not a win.
It's win it all. WS appearance means nothing if they don't win it all. I want the Yankees. Sweeping the Yankees in a WS in my life time is like Lakers beating the C Bags in the finals.
It’s called kicking as*! One complaint, Dodgers leave too many men on base game in game out. These games would be even easier if they could get just a couple of these guys in. We had bases loaded and only scored in that inning because Edwards was afraid of Yu’s homerun power.
Base running has been some of the worst I've seen. Crazy to think with all the men on base they leave and horrid base running and they still dominate. I won't complain if they win 5 more, but it is something they will need to work on in the off season.
What a team. Darvish has been nothing short of spectacular, Ethier has been a dream, and everyone is doing their job from top to bottom. This team is so focused right now it's insane. There are no breaks in the lineup, every at-bat is a grind, and the pitchers are locked in. I'm excited for Wood tomorrow. Oh and by the way if we are leading early, Puig is getting plunked real hard. I love his antics because he's on our team, but all the showboating is going to get him a heater to the ribs no doubt.
I was at the 2010 Lakers/C Bags Game 7. 2012 LA Kings/Devils Game 6. 2014 LA Kings/Rangers Game 5. All games where the team raised the championship trophy. Highly tempted to go to the Dodgers winning game...lol. If anyone wants to sponsor me, I'm a good luck charm!
