Dodgers gotta not let themselves get into a blah after the long winning streak. Currently 0-1 against ATL and now already down 4-0 in todays game. Wood gives up 2 runs dropping a pop up that should of ended the inning.
Aaaand this is why they need another starter. Wood had a bad night sure, but he reacted like a kid in the minors. You've got to find a way to win even on a night you're not "on". We need pitching...
Let's get Yu Darvish!! https://www.sbnation.com/mlb/2017/7/22/16014362/yu-darvish-mlb-trade-rumors-rangers-dodgers
We need him. I'd honestly be fine moving Verdugo. I know he's a good player, but we've got 3/4 outfield prospects good enough to hold down the field. Not to mention, the Dodgers should make a massive run at Harper in the near future.
And suddenly everything is falling apart. If this is Kershaw's disc again, we're screwed. Wood gets rocked and Hill is okay. Do we even get Darvish if this is a serious injury?
Looks like Kersh's issue is more muscular based on what Roberts says. Let's hope he's not on the DL for long. Right after the game: http://m.dodgers.mlb.com/news/artic...rs-interested-in-yu-darvish/?topicId=27118384 I think out the four top prospects that they mentioned, I'd give up Calhoun (much better suited for AL) and Alvarez. We could replace Alvarez by signing Otani or something.
Def have to go out and get another big arm. I think Kershaw having some back tightness will push the brass to go out and get another solid starting pitcher. Darvish is a stud. Even if Kersh is just precautionary we'd want to not push it if we don't need. GOod thing we have a huge lead and we were set to hit a little slump. 2 games was enough.
I'm with you guys. If it's me I go get Darvish and give up one of the top prospects as well as a kid that's 2-3 years away. I keep Bueller given what we've heard on him. I think long and hard about giving up Verdugo. We've got a handful of decent outfield prospects already. If I'm the Dodgers I am making a huge run at Harper in the summer so there's even another outfielder we'd have. That being said, Joc Pederson has been incredibly disappointing to me. His defense isn't what it used to be and his at-bats are getting no better. I'm okay moving on from him. All that said, the Dodgers FO has been so prone to hesitating, that I'm worried they don't take the trade when it comes. I'm worried they are content to let this team do its thing instead of bolstering the run... Hopefully they wise up and we can make a true push for a title this season. We're coming up on 30 years...
I'm still in on Darvish. I'm willing to give up Calhoun and a couple lower end guys. I'm not sure Calhoun is a real thing and he's still ranked pretty highly given his offensive ability. I want at least one of Darvish and Britton, but preferably both.
What do you guys think about going for the Justins in Detroit? Justin Verlander could be that SP boost we need and Justin Wilson could fulfill our left handed reliever need.
Tigers want a Kings Randsom for Mr. Upton. Good thing because Kate Upton in a Dodgers uniform would probably give me a coronary.
Not really. Verlander is paid 28m per year until 2020 and no one wants to absorb his contract. How much we give up is based on how much we want to eat that salary. We've been undefeated since Kershaw got hurt. The baseball gods gave us wins in exchange for Kershaw.
