Time flies when you have no Dodgers TV. Is your link pretty consistent and good quality? I think you've given to me before here or in a PM?
Wooooo 14-3 win WOW. Won't happen too often of course, but great way to start the season with a bang! Joc with the grand slam, Grandal with homers on both sides of the plate. Kershaw being Kershaw (that curveball is just unfair), and the Padres looking at another long year.
Forget the curve for a second, did you see the changeup he's been working on? He threw the change at 83 and then hit the exact same spot with a fastball at 94. Then he can still hit you with the slider inside or the curve. The man is preposterous. One of the all-time greats. The Padres are horrible. It's a nice soft opening to the season.
Anyone hear the new play by play guy how he was? What's the deal with Channel 5? They're going to just carry some games now and then?
Negatory. But thanks. Just searched and came up with this link and schedule. Tomorrow the 5th is first game. http://ktla.com/2017/03/08/ktla-to-broadcast-10-los-angeles-dodgers-game-this-season/
Damn!! and for this one too: www.strikeout.co Why do so many sites try to scam me with Flash Player needing to be updated? Both of these say I don't have it or don't have the most current version. Got that crap yesterday although the first one above did start to play the very first time I tried. I made the mistake of then wanting to check out the strikeout.co site to compare quality but got the Flash message there. When I came back to goatdee site it then started giving me the same message. I remember from the past couple years reading about malware come ons with Flash. So tonight first off I went on line and followed the correct procedure to check my Adobe Flash player on a Mac Pro. It's good. Most recent version. I hate Time Warner and the Dodgers for this situation. DirecTV is my provider. Especially with the Lakers sucking donkey ****s the last 4 years.
So for S & Gs I loaded the stupid Flash from goatdee and yep ... malware. But I have Malware-Bytes and ran a scan and found it and got rid of it. Well my Mac warned me .... it said ....You sure you want to trust this attachment from an unknown site Dummy? Off to find out what the score was now. Game should be over by now right? With the time saved by sucky new auto intentional walk rule.
I just search "mlb reddit streams" and boom, great quality and no malware (I'm assuming lol). Anywho, would have liked to win the Rockies series but I guess 4-3 is not terrible (on pace for 92.5 wins!! ). LOL Cubs with their championship ceremony at the first game, then their ring ceremony at the second game... might as well drag it out all year including the playoffs! We've been historically bad against Lester, but we do have more solid hitters this year, so I still believe! GO DODGERS!
we blew that game... bases loaded with no outs and we have joc fly out and then Tolls grounds into the DP. We push that over it is probably a different game. Have a day off hopefully we can take this series.
Re: Dodgers' Long-term viability. Attracting young fans. Just winning may not be enough. https://www.pressreader.com/usa/los-angeles-times/20170417/281818578703458 Some things mentioned are like Jeanie would say. How about starting with the TV situation you morons?
Also find some starters! I've been saying since we had Greinke that our starting pitching wasn't good enough. Now we don't have Greinke and all we've got is a collection of half-way decent journeymen. McCarthy, Ryu, Wood, and Maeda are just not very good. With Hill on the DL for the same stupid blister problem he had all year last year, we're leaning on our pen every single game. All that salary and we can't get better pitching?
Zack Greinke isn't a good pitcher anymore. Glad we didn't hand over $200+ million to him. Of all the free agent pitchers that have come and gone the last few years, the only truly successful one I can think of is Cueto. Everyone else, like Zimmerman, Doug Fister, James Shields, Wei-Yin Chen, Yovani Gallardo, etc., etc. have all crapped the bed since their signings. Scherzer is still good, but they technically gave him a mega deal through age 43, so no thanks. Oh and we didn't get Lester, but he wanted to be reunited with Theo Epstein and his crew anyway, so there was almost no chance of signing him. McCarthy has been outstanding so far. Wood has looked pretty good too, so we'll see how he continues. Ryu I'm a little concerned, but outside of giving up homers to a few of the best home run hitters in the league, he hasn't been as bad as his numbers suggest. He needs time to gain a little extra speed back on his fastball. Maeda I'm a little concerned. Not sure what's wrong; maybe the league figured him out? Hopefully it's just early short sample size and he can find his groove back soon. As far as having starters not last super long, it's not just a Dodgers thing; it's a league-wide thing. Most starting pitchers do poorly the third and fourth times around the batting order, so it behooves teams to use their bullpens earlier. And our bullpen was #1 in all of MLB last year. So far this year we are still blazing hot.
