Was it cumulative stress that broke in a couple places (hairline or whatever) or some crash he took playing where he hurt it? Last blurb I saw on line today after searching was he thought he was still going to be able to be back for the post season push and they were hoping the areas would mend by then. If Mychal is saying "no" then that is probably more accurate and current info.
Seems Forbes has an opinion as to what went wrong with Yasiel. I always go there for my baseball news. Have not read yet. http://www.forbes.com/sites/howardc...odgers-and-yasiel-puig-a-theory/#8b2129d188f1
Sports Dodgers place Yasiel Puig on trade waivers, report says Sporting News 1 hour 42 minutes ago Looking to gauge interest in embattled outfielder Yasiel Puig in the near future, the Dodgers placed the fallen franchise centerpiece on revocable waivers Sunday, according to Fox Sports. Earlier this month, the Dodgers sent Puig to the minors, following through on what was expected in the wake of their pre-Aug. 1 non-waiver deadline remarks and their deadline-day acquisition of Athletics outfielder Josh Reddick. Puig has batted just .258/.321/.411 over the last two MLB seasons (160 games due to injury) but is slashing .382/.440/.645 since his demotion to Triple-A Oklahoma City on August 2. Puig will remain on waivers for up to 47 hours. If no one claims him in that period, the Dodgers can trade him anywhere. If he is picked up (which is likely) the Dodgers can either trade him to the claiming team, revoke the waiver request or allow the claiming team to take Puig and the $25 million still due on his contract through the 2018 season. Fox Sports expects the Dodgers will pull Puig off waivers after he is claimed and try to trade him in the offseason when they can negotiate with 29 teams rather than one. Despite his maturity issues, Puig is still just 25 and a former All-Star, who picked up MVP votes in his first two years in MLB. https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/dodgers-place-yasiel-puig-trade-194753292.html
Rumor is we'll wait to trade him until this summer, but it's good to know he's still garnering interest. Maybe if they offer us a good pitcher, we make a deal now. Price or Kimbrel for Puig and I'll pull that trigger today.

Seriously. I'm not going to be happy with you just because you gifted us with 6 games. SIX EFFING GAMES?!? For people too scrupulous to steal feeds, most of the city was deprived of Vin Scully's last three years. Despicable and utterly unforgivable.
Ummm ..... bump? LOL with playoffs starting today against Washington. Come on Kershaw step your game up in the post season!
Great Game 1 win by the boys. Kersh battled even though his command wasnt great. The guys got him some runs and held on to it. Great Bullpen game too. We have to keep those bats going we started hot but finished cold. Insurance runs are important.
Game got called so the boys get an extra day of rest. Hopefully we can take the momentum from game 1 and put it on game 2. Going up 2-0 on the road is huge. By the way, (though Im talking to myself), there was a lot of complaints on the management not getting guys like Price in the off season. Just saw Price is now 0-8 in the playoffs. If we can get Hill to be Hill I think management did a great job with this team.
Welp, seemed like Hill was doing fine until that home run from Lobaton of all people. Both Kershaw and Hill gave up 7 runs in 9-ish innings. Not gonna get it done, but hey, at least we stole one in Washington, which is the best we could reasonably hope for.
^I don't think Hill did too bad. We left the bases loaded 3 times I think and left something like 12 runners on base last game. Its a whole different game we put some of those runs across instead of leaving them on the bases. We also had Werth making some plays in left on a couple of good shots by our guys. Anyway, we stole the one. Now we need to get the next one today at home.
Left Kershaw in too long on short rest. Didn't we do the same thing to him last year? Still got the win though and the bats woke up a little bit. We desperately need Adrian and Grandal to remember how to swing the bat. Pederson too. Scherzer is a great pitcher, but he's been vulnerable in the Playoffs. I'm worried, but I think we've got a good shot.
I actually think we jump on Scherz. OUr problem has been, just like the last two playoffs, getting the crooked numbers on the board when we have a chance. Grandal is like 0-4 (I think) with bases loaded in this series. Think about that for a second he has not scored an RBI with 12 men on base. That is horrific. Our playoff failures haven't been talent nor coaching really its been shooting ourselves in the foot. I believe we will take game 5 though we are due for an offensive explosion.
I agree. I don't think the coaching has been bad. I like that Roberts has taken chances. The only decisions I haven't liked so far have been leaving Kershaw in too long and taking Puig out the day before. Neither of them were deal breakers in my opinion. Grandal and Gonzalez have been terrible offensively (up until yesterday's dinger for Agone). That has stunted all of our offense which is a killer. Grandal hit two Grand Slams this year didn't he? Where did that go? Looks like he's trying to do too much at the plate. Just get the hit jerk and keep the inning alive.
