Buehler is still a beast. I know you know this, chick. But our pitchers have to be perfect to hope for a win the way our vaunted offense is hitting.

No way should we be anywhere other than 5 or more games up on the giants.

And with his 10th K to end the 6th, Sherzer is 9 away from 3000. Impressive.

In many ways. One of the best pitched games I saw was when my dad took me to an Angel-Yankee game, and Ryan was throwing a no-hitter until some dude named Reginald Martinez Jackson broke it up.

Lmfao I totally forgot about that. Don't mess with Nolan boooeeeyyyyy!!! Didn't he get Ventura in a headlock and land a few punches? I vaguely recall them fighting, or Ryan throwing punches after Ventura charged the mound

You remember it right. Pretty sure Ryan hit Ventura. Ventura charged the mound and Ryan got him in a headlock right away, and Ventura beat up Ryan’s fist with his face.

He didn't even get ejected after punching Ventura and didn't allow a hit for the next 13 batters lmfao!!

I was a big fan when he pitched for the Angels. We were visiting my wife's relatives in Texas 5 years ago and they took us to a Rangers game at the old stadium in Arlington. Walked by his statue on the way to our seats.

And yeah later in that video he explains (and it is shown) that earlier in his career, after Dave Winfield, and even bigger man than him, charged the mound after not even being hit (but real close to his head) and threw a haymaker at him that just missed .... he determined that if anyone ever charged him again he wasn't going to stand there passively to see what was going to happen. He knew if Dave had landed that it would have messed him up.

Oh Jesus. I would not want to be on the receiving end of a Winfield punch. Ooof. Nooooo way.

If I were the Rangers, the statue of him would have been him leaning in for the signal with a blood-stained mouth and jersey. How the f*** someone even thinks about hitting a Nolan Ryan heater AND having to deal with that on top is beyond me. Mama.

2.5 games back even with a win last night. I foresee a wildcard birth in our midst unfortunately. This would be such a wasted season if the Dodgers lose essentially one game play in..and to make it worse because of the Giants FML

I’m not throwing in a towel just yet, but I’m preparing for Dodgers Doom this post season.

Can’t say enough about our pitching. Even Kenley has been a plus. I just don’t have any faith in our offense.

This is Roberts’ 5th season with a stacked team thanks to an elite farm system, and good trades and signings, and with all this, only won one ring. So frustrating.

Just read Pollock had a good running session, and should be back a lot earlier than expected, nothing definite though. Hope it doesn’t affect his swing.

I agree with your other post about Roberts. He's not qualified for this job imo.

Hopeful Pollock can get back in the lineup sooner than later, he was swinging one of our hottest bats.

    LET'S GO BOYZ IN BLUE!!!!
