And the Padres are 1.5 games out of the Wild Card lol. They are so much like the 2019-2020 clips with all their bs swag and all their fans talking s*** about the Dodgers.

And now they may not even make the post season. Love it.

I can take or leave him, definitely a good player, but I still like Darvish. Tommy Pham too. And Wil Myers is an OG from their s*** years—hard to dislike him.

The two biggest turds far and away are Manny Hustle and Grisham. Not much hate for any of the other players, tbh.

Can't mention the Padres without thinking of Tony Gwynn. One of the best people outside of baseball. Lifetime .338 batting average. One more reason to despise the Padres was the way Gwynn was treated. His story with that franchise and the ending of his life is truly tragic. Jack Clark is a pathetic little man in a big mans body. If you read about Gwynn's story you'll quickly find out all you need to know about Jack Clark. A much bigger turd than either guy you have listed above (not to one up you the guy did some damn right despicable things during his tenure with the Padres not to mention every other team he played for).

    RIP Tony

Tony Gwynn is one of my all-time favorites. Period. I never got mad at him whenever he hurt us because he just was a good guy with a beautiful swing. Loved him.
I even had an autographed ball of his, but it got ripped off by some little gangbanger pricks when I was in school.

Jack Clark is a clod—a real idiot. And the way Tony was treated was definitely disgusting.

I know nothing about this. What happened?

There's too much to list, you'd have to dig up his wiki or another avenue and read about it. The franchise basically screwed him over by not paying him among other things. The Jack Clark deal is huge as well. Made Tony become a loner on the team he'd basically put on his shoulders his entire career. There was also some racial undertones, a doll hanging from the dugout and some other stuff that didn't happen until Clark joined the team. Just brutal especially against a guy like Gwynn.

That’s right. That hanging doll with the arms and legs chopped off. Repulsive and chicken s***. Brutal is right.

They just haven't been losing much at all. Just shows how good the Dodgers have been playing as well especially with Bellinger and Mookie not really contributing like normal. Kershaw out, Bauer gone indefinitely etc etc..

Was reading about Bauer right now. Major league is contemplating a 1-2 year suspension regardless if the DA picks up the case. Bauers team is said to be ready to appeal any suspension and take it to an arbitrator. League execs and others believe the arbitrator will uphold a heavy percentage of the suspension if not all of it.

Also of note, a strong contingent of players on the Dodgers don't want Bauer back on the team. There is also another portion of the team that would be willing to let him back but aren't willing to go against the loudest voices of opposition obviously being those that are against it.

League officials, execs and others familiar with MLB believe Bauer will never play another inning for MLB on any team especially with today's current climate in regards to sex crimes. So his suspension will effectly turn into him being blackballed by the league without an actual ruling defining a permanent suspension.

The Dodgers could recoup some of his salary this year depending on what happens with the courts picking up his case and prosecuting. They will almost assuredly be able to get out of the last 2 years of his contract and use that cap space to chase after high end free agents.

That pretty much shortens up the article from ESPN

The Dodgers would be in first place if we didn't have to throw all those bullpen games that Bauer would have been starting. He is that good, no question. I don't know if we go after Sherzer if none of this happened, but at least the puds didn't get him. That's the only upside in this ugly and twisted s*** going down.

That said, I'm 100% done with that immature 'me first' selfish prick whatever happens at this point. f*** him. But I think he'll eventually return to pitch in the MLB eventually. I only hope it's never for the Dodgers.

I doubt he ever pitches again in the league after everything I've been reading. He's pissed a lot of people off throughout the league with his antics and I'm not just talking about players but league executives. Even though what he did may be proven consensual in today's climate there's no more room for tolerance. News travels like wildfire with social media and teams won't be lining up to have him as a distraction let alone all the bad publicity it will bring for an organization that hires a sex offender. I could be wrong but that's the word going around right now/has been

I’ve mentioned before here I thought he looked like an a-hole and made that assumption as soon as I’d seen his youtube highlights and his arrogant d*** act on the mound, when it was announced we signed him. And then read a teammate pitcher from UCLA hated his guts and vice versa.

Here we go. Hang on. Treinen and Jansen solid. Mookie is back.

And Robert keeps putting Bellinger out there. The team’s struggling as it is. We need good hitting over his play in CF with this slump.

Fried vs. Sherzer mañana. Man, gonna be some good pitching. Three runs should get the W.

    Watch Bellinger get three hits.

He has to keep running Bellinger out there. At some point he's gonna start being Bellinger again but if you bench him his confidence is gonna take a further hit. We have enough around him to make up for his deficiencies but once that fires lit its hard to put out.

Jansen is a different story. If we lose close playoff games because he marches Jansen out there to save a 1 run game in the 9th I'm calling @Cookie ...

I would bench Bellinger at this point. I get the confidence angle, but Belli needs to sit until he is ready to stop swinging at bad pitches. Dude looks lost at the plate. Start Mookie, CT3, and Pollock. Use Belli as a defensive replacement / pinch runner / pinch hitter until he figures it out.

Blake Treinen may be the best reliever in baseball right now. Kenly was fire last night. But I would still make Treinen the closer for the playoff run.
