Will Bynum would be great at PG. I guess we need another big now as well? But still could use a three as well. If we could ever get Kelley back I might be satisfied with our bigs. I think a SF and a PG would be really helpful. X has got a lot of rust and may have regressed. Young is out for a lot more games and Wes isn't exactly tearing it up. Plus Ellington has shot poorly.
I don't want to give up ANY assets for a band-aid player -- only a player that we can foresee as a contributor going forward. Other than that, keep the assets and bring up D-Leaguers. We aren't doing anything this season other than watching the playoffs.
it would be nice to find young players with some upside to look at, I would think. short of that, if the lakers can use these to absorb salary in trade, I'd just take someone's useless player in exchange for a pick. go full sixers on it.
abeer3 bingo.. Use that money, maybe along with a player or two(if a team needs some cheap depth as well) for a pick(s). Why would a team get rid of a young player to us if hes on a semi-cheap contract UNLESS a team is in the luxury and they realize theyre not going to make the playoffs, than its a no brainer of course.
Don't know much about Miller. He averaged 10 and 5ish in college (one season). Then he averaged 11/7 in D League - shot 34% on threes, 39% on FGs. Averaged 5 and 3 in NBA last season. Struggling to shoot 40% at any level, seemingly likes to shoot threes, but he hasn't shot well (~33% cumulatively). Hmmm.
There's probably not too much available right now in FA. Lakers aren't going to trade assets to get someone.
Miller was highly touted coming out of high school, but suffered an ACL injury his senior year. Overall, he wasn't bad at Baylor, but he wasn't consistent either. Probably should have stayed in college at least one more year. At 6'9, he can get to rim pretty well, but has never been a great shooter from what I can tell. Still, he is probably worth a look at the 3 given our issues there.
We got to wait until the trade deadline. If we have a shot at playoffs I believe well trade for someone that can help us with the push. If no players I hope we take on an expiring contract for a pick(s) and possibly even trade away Lin if he has value because we could always re-sign him in the offseason.
That's all I've heard too. He's getting there, but not ready yet. He had a really serious neck issue right?
Herniated disc in neck. I think he didn't have surgery, chose to rehab it. He'd be a good fit on this team, and if we could get him on the cheap, I'd be pleased.
