    The Lakers have been unjustifiably cheap as of late. I don't know why Jeannie would want to pay luxury/repeater tax all of a sudden. But, hope springs eternal . . .

    This guys seems to love to play basketball and be a Laker?
    I haven't watched him much after that one great Nets season: has he always been like this? He's been painted as a malcontent but honestly he seems really fun to watch and play with

    i think he's been in places that either didn't want him (bkn, gs) or in which he didn't want to be (minny). can't imagine how weird playing in gs as an obvious placeholder had to be, for example. he's now at the peak of his playing powers and in a spot that wanted him and where he would like to keep playing, and we're seeing what that can do.

    too bad we're not getting to see more if it with the full squad. he's such a nice fit with lebron, in theory.

    he's right. playing the ultra tankers at the end can be dangerous because their tank is already secured, so they're not only playing with no pressure of any kind, they're also really pissed from losing all their damn games so far and want to rain on your parade a bit.

    Also you have guys putting together their audition tape for their next team. Because outside of the young core, the rest of the guys on teams like this will be elsewhere next season.

    he was also 5-15 in the last game, so maybe he should hold the bravado and just stay focused and produce vs worry about being Hollywood.
