I told you guys we should have taken Porzingis!!!!

 

He's an interesting prospect.

 

Most Laker fans are probably in favor of starting Ingram and Zubac right now. I say "most" because there might be some still out there clinging to playoff hopes because they aren't mathematically eliminated. Then there also relatives of front office individuals responsible for the Deng and Mozgov signings. All joking aside, the Lakers should just go ahead and feature Russell, Clarkson, Ingram, Randle, Zubac and Nance and let them all develop in what is obviously a lost season. Whether they are starting or not doesn't really matter to me so much as how many minutes they get and if they are out there to close the games. The problem is I just don't see Walton going away from Lou, Young, Moz and Deng. The first two are playing too well and we know the deal with the latter two.

 

He's also very skilled, but will probably take awhile to grow into his frame. He's playing guys 50+ pounds bigger than he is.

 

the knicks were trashed for taking porzingis. they just got lucky he's turned out to be so good because everyone figured he'd just be another euro bust. i can't even imagine the reaction from lakers fans had they drafted porzingis over russell

russell has all the tools necessary to become a star, he just needs to stay healthy and find some motivation through these tough times

 

This isnt hindsight for me.....i was hoping we traded down for combo of turner and mudiay during the draft. Obviously mudiay is still a crappy shooter but his speed and athleticism was ideal at the time, as for turner, im not sure why i wanted him exactly but he was a mobile C that blocked shots

 

I'm pretty sure Zing was #3 on our list over Okafor.

 

In addition to his mobility and shot blocking, he exhibited 3 point range too. Indy got a stud there with Turner at #11.

 

mudiay may not ever be a starting quality nba player. real talk. he's horrible right now, and denver has to play him due to his draft position.

turner's better than i thought he would be, but not a franchise changer in any sense, and NOBODY considered him anywhere near #2.

these conversations just aren't useful to me unless someone could point to actual evidence that they (with support) wanted someone else.

russell's outperforming most of the draft class. be glad you don't have mudiay, who...isn't.

Ummmm did you understand that i said TRADE DOWN part? Turner has shown as much if not more of being impactful player than dlo now, a mobile C with 3pt. range is rare....people only giving props to Porzingis but turner is just as good but more so cause he can bang down low without getting broken down....hypothetically speaking even if mudiay sucked at shooting here as well, we could still salvage his gm with luke system and make him play rondo type role, bos still managed to win it all once with a fairly poor shooting young rondo but turner might have prevented us from signing someone like Mozgov

 

I'm looking forward to watch DAR and Zubac playing together with the amount of space Zu is creating on his screens
