I remember a vet told Jeremy Shockey to sing the U of Miami school song. He said he would, but not until he finished his lunch. The vet took issue and they got in a fight over it. When it gets to that point, you've missed the purpose of hazing. Most of the coaches I respect frown upon it.

What really stands out in those numbers is the rebounding differential. Russell at PG is pulling down over 2/3 the amount Okafor is at Center.

After last night i'm not worried about this guy. It might not come this year, but he's got game. He has decent stats on low minutes and bad coaching, while each point and assist comes with a flash.

Not to mention one is the 1st option getting plenty of touches with no minute restriction, while the other is at best the 4th option and clearly being held back minutes wise.

I'll take it given the circumstances.

I dont see how benching him until he "earns it", whatever that means, helps him at all. How does him sitting on the bench help him? He's gaining zero experience. If he wanted to watch them play he could do it by watching game tape. It's an archaic way of thinking - just like every thing else Byron does

Russell in Byron's offense is like Okafor in D'Antoni's offense.

Not really. Kobe did the same thing and it worked out fine for him. It teaches you how to approach every minute with focus and intensity. Do you disagree that he's clearly playing better now despite not playing every second? He's looked sharper every game so far and part of that is the way his minutes have been handled.

Once again yanked in the final minute for no reason. Was he not getting the ball to Kobe quick enough so Byron threw someone out there who would obey him better on that? Let him finish the damn game.

I see zero connection between him playing better now and him being benched. Zero. Same with Kobe in his early years, not playing him didnt make him any better but in that case I could understand it since he was playing behind eddie jones at that point and we had a winning team.

Byron is ruining this kid. Absolutely ruining him. I just don't understand it. We're not winning right now anyway with Lou Williams. Why you would not try and get this kid as much experience as possible is beyond me. That's the only way he'll improve.

I don't have a problem with limiting minutes. I don't understand pulling him to let someone else blow a game or just because a limit has been reached. Byron needs to let him play a bit more.

He looked hesitant in the last three minutes or it's because Kobe kept demanding the ball he lost his chance to be creative.

And that's when he has to step up and not always defer to Kobe. Don't just give him the ball because he is asking for it.

This is only in your mind. It just seems that way. No pattern at all.
