they hang up. but schroder and sharpe maybe?

once morey and harden and dantoni were gone, houston dropped off my hate list. having grown up largely in dallas, i still have some residual rockets/spurs hatred/annoyance, but i'm old now.

I know this jerk, that occasionally takes my cash, that happens to be a Rockets season ticket holder. Obnoxious one too

I would be trying to get as far under the tax as possible so they can resign max and prince. Then us the ntpmle to improve this team

yeah, some of my friends in college were obnoxious rockets fans, which definitely stoked my rockets hate. then morey. then harden. then dantoni. but then they were all gone, i don't live in tx, and they're just like, memphis or something.

yeah, using rui + gabe or vando (depending on how the mle is used) is a way forward there. not exciting, but viable.

i'm not super jazzed about our prospects next year.

this year was our chance. we had a pretty good roster (imo), and our stars were healthy. but vando and gabe's injuries hurt a lot, as did ham and the team giving up on ham. bummer.

I'd take Thomas over Max or Prince. He's only 22, that's a piece to keep.

How much is the ntpmle expected to be?

it's near 12 or 13 to start i think. cam will get way more than that, and the nets won't trade him for what i'd want to offer (i don't love him, think he tops out as a good 6th man, which is available on the market every year).

Yeah well. I've lived in Houston for decades, and my brother is the obnoxious Rockets season ticket holder, for over 20 years. It hits different for me. I hate seeing the Rockets succeed, F them!!

I'm open to flipping, Russell, Hachimura and Austin, for the right move. It depends on what's on the table. We aren't going to do anything serious, running it back. Outside of Lebron and AD, anybody could be had, but they all won't be traded.

Thomas is a RFA like Max, if I were Brooklyn, I would definitely pay him, he's potentially better, than just a 6th man. If they went for that trade, I'd absolutely do it.

Cam is a scorer. His ceiling is Jamal Crawford with less playmaking. He literally doesn't do anything else on the floor. But he's a bucket for sure. Makes no sense to us because of Reaves

DLo to the Magic is actually interesting. Do they have cap room to pay him and Klay? I think they can get there. Those 2 additions would be great for them

3/45 to DLo and 2/40 to Klay might do it, maybe you get to 50-ish on both if needed. It would be a step forward for them.

They might be on the run for Valanciunas too no? He fits them as well

that's probably true at this point. but we'll likely be downgrading.

it's not a great situation for us at all.

I still say retain him, we will be a non playoff team without his regular season explosions, resign Din and pray deadman pans out this year. Let’s have continuity for a change like AD have said.

I think we have to retain him, but he’s going to want to know he’s not going to be traded.
It’s an impossible situation because he wilts in the playoffs, but we have no money to replace his regular season scoring.
S&T would be best outcome, but all it takes is one decent offer from someone like the Magic and we are screwed.

We made the play in tournament with him, so without him if AD and LeBron can’t at least do that, we were screwed anyways

we could easily miss the play-in if that much talent walks out the door without anything comparable coming back. i think people forget he was THE difference in the team that went to the conference finals vs. the team that was going to finish 12th. well, excising russ and with dlo's fit/production.

his playoff failures color everything, but he's been our third-best player. we can't afford to just have that vanish. we're already a fringe playoff team.
