^^ I literally said, after the 3rd TO, "& that's why you're getting traded DLO"... Then the MFer hits that Three. o_O

4 Dudes in the starting lineup with clutch Big Balls capable of taking the last shot and free throws is pretty damn rare and awesome!!

People are happy that he hit a big shot but we wouldn’t have needed it if he didn’t turn the ball over 3 times in a row. Color me unimpressed squirrel. It reminds my of Fisher missing a bunch of layups and then finally making one. That doesn’t make up for the missed ones early. I’m a whole game girl not the last couple minutes.

But I thought he was awesome in the second half and OT till the TO's. (Of course he sucked in the 1st half and then 3 straight TO's in OT is just insane levels of badness lol).

Still you see improvement, he played well against the Clips and some other tough teams. I can still see why the Lakers want a marginal improvement in overall talent in him too get more consistency. But I maintain with lack of guards (is gabe alive? max being at least a year away) is a problem even you make that kind of move (i.e. flip DLo for Murray).

Get Brogdon for Rui/JHS/protected first instead!

Yes but that he sucked in the 1st half is kinda my point, even though I only mentioned the big shot. Consistency is not something Dlo is good at.

I don't think we necessarily need a starting level PG like Brogdon. I like Rui a lot and don't love that move. I'd rather try to move Gabe Vincent for a backup level PG like Schroder.

Prolblem is then we get likely beat by a title contender like the Nuggets which can just be bigger at each position. Team needs another guy who can put the fear in defenses and prototypical size. Brogdon at 6'4 allows you to switch and recover.

Have to hope if the move is to bring back Schroeder that Cam can get healthy and continue to hit big shots

i think prince makes us able to lose rui. if rui had blossomed into a bench scoring anchor, i'd be singing a different tune. but right now, if i want a mediocre defender who doesn't rebound, i'll actually take ham's boy.

anyway, this is the dlo thread. i don't view his recent play as an aberration, tbh. he's this good (and bad, on those occasions). the idea that we were just peddling him continues to annoy me.

For me, IMHO, I would rather get rid of Ham than Rui. Just sayin'.

Man, Caron Butler references cut me deep. I think I was one of the few who was excited about the Shaq trade, because I was such a fan of that Miami team the prior year. Skip 2 My Lou, rookie D Wade, Caron, LO, Brian Grant. Was heart broken when we traded Caron for Kwame

lol, i loved that miami team, too. it actually bothered me that wade got all the credit on that team when he was the third or fourth best player that year. i know everyone talks about the shaq trade being the worst in history or whatever, but how many teams have traded a superstar on his demand and gotten two players back better than odom and butler?

How dare you forget to include Eddie Jones on that list of Miami's roster. My favorite Lakers player as a kid and I actually disliked Kobe the first few years because I knew what drafting him meant for Eddie.

D-Lo has been surprisingly good lately, since...oh wow: like when the trade rumors started to heat up. Weird! Prolly just a coincidence...

Apart from the contract, trade rumors, his numbers vs someone else's, etc: I love his silky style of play. His fingerprint as a player. It's very entertaining to watch. The left-handedness looks extra weird to my brain when I watch games. All lefties, in fact.

That said: his THREE huge mistakes in crunch vs. GSW was that version of "appalling D-Lo"...and if he didn't hit that pull-up 3 with 51 secs left? He might be tarred and feathered as we speak. But he did hit it.

Man, D-Lo, you really put us on a rollercoaster. Damn. I think I'll always be a fan, no matter who he plays for. His style is real jazzy to me.

Once the trade deadline passes, do things change?

Either you are this guy, or you are not. Aggressive DLO is an aberration

Still ok keeping him, but I don't think he suddenly has changed as a player after being this far into his career.

i mean, he's not a 26/7 guy on 50/40/90 or whatever, but he's not a bum who can't be moved for an expiring contract or some such b******* either.
