LOL you are stubborn with not acknowledging AR can and will play the position too. DLO doesn’t like to be called specifically a PG and Reaves wants it … has played it his whole career. Said he has been working on his handles to that end, and it shows. On offense at least. Someone else can do their best wrangling the opposing PG if he can’t. DLO can’t either but don’t forget Vandy and Vincent.

I've literally never seen him with abs, so props for finally taking his career seriously. He walked into a game this year with one of his open vest silly costumes, and it looked like he literally had zero muscle tone. Like there was no way you could confuse him for being an athlete.

He's putting in work and wants a new contract. We may be the beneficiaries of this new found effort for at least part of the year, but he may also be gone at the trade deadline if we don't think we can resign him.

Would love DLo to be a lead player on a championship level squad. When he's feeling it, it's easy to root for him with the dribbling, passing and shooting being a joy to watch. Difference I see between him and say a guy like Magic who also made the game fun was that when s*** counted for real, dude used the same skills to crush the opposing team and the game always ran out the pace he wanted (slowed the game down when he had a small on him to post him up, sped the game up if the Lakers had numbers). Dlo is the opposite, the defense sets the pace for him and unlike Magic looks like he gets rushed or is too slow.

And anyone wondering why the NBA kowtows to Communist Party - the Chinese people love the NBA man. Would be insane if they Communist party loosens even some modicum of power. Basketball just because of the sheer numbers of people China/Philllipines/Taiwan could rival soccer in terms of global sports dominance which is crazy considering how popular soccer is in Europe and South America

not going to go over it again, but having the guys who have played basically their entire careers at the position kinda makes sense to me.

Not sure if grudgingly agreeing a bit there, to be including AR in the PG conversation, or referring to pro careers only? :D

I’m a big DLo fan for this team. I love what he brings to the table in the backcourt with AR and how he plays with AD. Not ready to throw him in the trash because of the Denver series just yet.

i think an underplayed storyline is how big this year is for dlo. if he shows out, he can opt out and sign one last big deal. if he withers again in the playoffs or drops off any in his overall play, he's likely looking at mle after this two-year deal.

guessing that's what the workouts are about, at least in part.

I fully expect him to vastly outperform his contract this (regular) season. IMO, we got him on a bargain, even if (as it seems most) people are not happy with the contract. The real question is can he bring it in the playoffs? I'm typically optimistic and choose to be so also in this case.

I have been hard on DLO because I expect a lot from him and am a sucker for a good redemption story.
I think he knows how important it is for his career to play well this season- especially in the playoffs. I think he will.
Vincent will be ready if DLO fades at any point throughout the season.

I'm ready for DLO to have a very good year and I'm hoping for improvement from him in the playoffs. As FOJ22 said, if not it's great that Vincent is in the wings waiting for his opportunity. I'll miss what Dennis brought off the bench a bit but I think Vincent can be just as effective.

I like DLO as well and hope he does bring it. As stacked as we are even at his best it is going to be hard to earn starter minutes. Austin is better at the one and with his defensive limitations it isn't going to easy at the two either. We already have LeBron starting. I don't think we should start two non-defenders. Good as LeBron is he comes with complications.

He has matured and has become serious about his morning training unlike his first stint here where he just took pictures at the gym and went back to sleep:giggle:
