Every home game, one of them shows up and gets spotlighted as a "celeb"... Ugh. They should start going to The Other L.A. Team games. Rant//

On topic: Russell is a finesse player who appears to play defense. I do like his ability to manufacture shots off the dribble and does not usually brick them most of the time. At least they draw iron and not the backboard.

You bring up a lot of good points, and I agree that we should bring him back even from an asset perspective in the future to flip. Asset management will be key in making sure his value doesn’t depreciate too much if/when we do need to flip him. He has swagger and is marketable. It’s noticeable with the whole team adopting the ‘ice in my veins’ thing.

0/3 is not bad generally, especially when he shot 4/11. I have an issue particularly with Dlo and his usage/efficiency. PGs are suppose to be an extension of the coach between the 4 lines, but that’s not his role as Lebron and AD splits this responsibility. The offense also primarily runs through Lebron/AD as well so it’s tough for him to control the pace of the game. So right now, Dlo’s primary role is to come off picks/flares and he has options to shoot, or drive to kick out/lay up/oop to AD. Every player needs to master their role at this time and the criticality of execution becomes exponentially magnified with each stage in the playoffs. So in a nutshell, it’s just that I expect a lot more from him, especially in the role he’s excelled in from his college days.

Bruce Brown echoed he same sentiments. A ploy to get Russell to not play team ball and prove himself first?

DLo sucks at defense, it is what it is I guess. Maybe play with more effort? Why are we doubling Jokic though, what is 6 foot Dennis going to do here? Just let him get his and not let him involve others

Dlo’s problem and strength is that he plays at one speed and effort level. However you defend him, you generally can’t speed him up or slow him down regardless on if his shot is falling or not. He always has that ice in his veins.

I don’t think that’s going to change and I’m not sure it needs to as I think it serves him and the team more often than it hurts them.

I bet next game Dlo is going to knock down his shots and defend at about the same level which is fine/passable most of the time. He’ll be fine in this series.

he better be on a short leash because denver won't have any problem exploiting him on D again. if his shots aren't falling, get him out of there

what's annoying is that he and murray are VERY similar players, right down to being defensive liabilities. so malone's playing head games, but i think we need to go after murray. feel like he's projecting a bit.

I don't know about him in the playoffs: he's got the skillset to kill these defense and he just dumb stuff over and over again.

Just a terrible game for him IMO: if I see him shoot one of those stupid swing jumpers that have no chance to go in trying to draw the foul again, I'm ready to poke my eyes out.
Shoots when he should drive, drives when he shoots, arrgg

i was hoping those big shots he hit against gs would shake his playoff demons, but they didn't. he just kinda wilts. i think his confidence is bravado.
