DLo looks like Kyrie as well lol but he's a more willing passer than Kyrie and I think he's got better vision (kyrie is a better ballhandler, scorer, etc.)
We got a couple of copycats on the team: Beasley has a Tatum resemblance. Too bad his game isn't comparable to Tatum at all while DLo at least is good enough to be compared to Kyrie even though he's a lesser player

If this trade was made last offseason, we'd be fighting for a top 3 seed in the West. When I look back at some of the trades that were being proposed here and other places, and we ended up with this one...crazy to think about.

i might have proposed 80% of them, and every single one was worse than what happened.

Yup, never thought someone of DAR's caliber was available (unless for BOTH frps). And thought if we were going to get Vando, he would be the big get of the trade

And the fact that we were able to jettison both Pat Bev and Westbrook at the same trade deadline...this went from being my least favorite collection of players in the history of the Lakers (by a significant margin) to being a nice collection of guys with just one dislikable megalomaniac.

He brought it up so many times, and I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wanted Brick gone, that Abeer actually talked me into it.

hey, no outgoing picks...not bad. you have to think about what people were saying, league-wide, about russ trades. word was we had to use at least one unprotected pick just to get off him for anyone at all.

anyway, this is the russell thread, and i agree with alam--i thought russell would only be a possibility if both picks were gone, and i also didn't think minny would take conley over russell. i get that he might be a better fit for their personnel, is a vet leader, etc....but he's old and fragile. he's a guy i had targeted as getting without moving a pick.

whatever, rob nailed it. waited it out and got the best possible deal, imo. still can't believe the pick is top-4 protected that turns into 2nds, too...

That steal with the perfect Magic-esque 2/3 of the court bullet bounce pass to Reaves on a dead run for the layup was incredible.

Solid game tonight. Modest scoring but gaudy assists (10). In control.

That was an awesome pass, if it wasn't perfect it would not have worked.

He's just a great fit alongside Lebron and AD. I don't think we could find better. I'm over Kyrie. What a great move by Rob. I was a little skeptical about Dlo but he's really matured and he's such a solid third guy for now and the future. Wrap him up! Unless Dame demands a trade . . .

i think i'd have to think hard about moving him in a s&t for lillard, too, tbh. we have to start thinking beyond next year at some point, and re-signing russell helps long and short term. lillard's short-term (and what a short-term!), but will also cost a lot on top of russell.

think i'm good where we are. let competitors bid that out while we show up with continuity, two HOFers, and a nice-fitting, young supporting cast.

Yeah, I don't really think Dame will ask out and I'm just goofing on it. I'm more than happy with Russell moving forward.

As I said in the Game Time, he moved just fine just before halftime. My only guess is that they are load managing him. Seriously, he looked totally fine.

I'm a little concerned. He plays below the rim so he shouldn't have all these injury issues.
