If this happened in a regular game situation, people would be a lot more forgiving but because it happened in a complete fluke manner there is an unacknowledged assumption that it couldn't be a bad ankle sprain.

Always took me 1-2 weeks to feel better so I'm giving him some slack here - he hasn't been a guy who sits games generally

Maybe he comes back less cocky and just gets back to work. I can do without the

“Like I never left” bravado, etc

I think the fan base just gets nervous when any of our guys go down due to past injuries with players.

I’m not down on DLO though.

I can't wait to see him play -- we're a lot better with him on the floor.

just bad timing. he really hasn't even missed that much time for a sprained ankle, imo. i'm just not into playing athletic trainer with the information i have (very little).

some say russell wants to sit so as not to risk his paycheck, but i think he stands to make a much bigger paycheck by playing and being part of a playoff run.

so i think he's just injured, as happens sometimes. he and lebron both wish they were out there, i have no doubt.

sorry to spam--but we're only better if he's not hobbling around out there. if he's dragging a leg, it would make us worse.

" The Lakers want him pain free" .

The phrasing of the tweet makes me believe it's not DAR decision

that's my thought. If he comes out, kills it, and helped us get up to 6 or 7 in the west then he could push for a bigger payday. I don't see how sitting helps him.

I'm not down on DLO at all. I like him, I'm glad he is on the team, and I hope we can sign him for next year. But him not playing right now is soft IMO.

Everyone who’s a rotational player this season, is battling some kind of pain at this point in the season. Let’s just hope he can come back soon because we really need his scoring ability with LeBron out.

Schroder has an ankle injury now too and is having to play extra minutes on it because we don't have Dlo.
