Wasn’t true for some. But my goodness, give the young guys a chance.

DAYAM!! Looking great in that clip. Nice control of the ball and crisp passing as well. Good for him.

i still think the lakers' coaching choices have been probably the biggest problem over the past decade. and i actually like luke--i think he's been handcuffed by an organization in a series of weird transitions. but mike brown, mike dantoni, and byron scott...man, they killed us. inflexibility, misuse of players, antiquated systems and ideas...blech.

Same with Luke. We know this is all he will ever be. Zero learning and no getting better for him as the experience accumulates. Has had all these ideal circumstances this year and LBJ on top of that, and still we struggle. Plus every player dislikes him and wants to kick his a**. Just ask LaVar who should know since his kid plays for Luke.

Hit a three to put the Nets up 3 with 0:50 left, but they couldn’t hold on. Russ missed a three at the buzzer to win.

If it’s win now and you’re ditching your young guys for established talent, there just isn’t time for Luke to develop. Not that I agree.

RT @APOOCH: The Nets wanted D’Angelo Russell to buy in defensively. Have at it: Among 89 players who have averaged 30.0+ mpg since Jan. 1., Russell’s defensive rating (103.7) is eighth-best in the NBA, trailing only Lonzo Ball and Donovan Mitchell among guards.

I agree with this. D'lo came in when it was a crappy time. I think his development went off the wayside with Kobe's retirement, Byron, and the whole Nick Young situation. I wish we kept him, but I felt his departure was a consequence of Jim/Mitch's horrible decisions vs. his talent.

I think it's hard on the young players in general since everything gets magnified and dramatized here compared to other markets.

What if he’s an above average defender averaging 24-8-4?

Magic: but he is not a leader. I needed a leader, so I got Lavar, I mean Lonzo.

Clarkson with 42 and Russell with 36 including a huge 3 in the last minute to seal it.

Finishes with 36-8-7 and 7 turnovers. I’m not saying it was a great game. But it was a ridiculous turn around.
