B Shaw caught on video saying this team works really hard, unlike DLO who was always playing around.

I believe he said, "last year we had D'Angelo who was always bull****ing around."

Was hard not to suspect that Russ didn’t really care all that much. I explained it away as him having a cool and calm demeanor on the court, but now that he’s gone I don’t have a problem accepting B-Shaw’s take as the more likely. Kid can score, is super talented, even clutch, but he needed to grow up.

oh yeah, this was obvious when he was here. it's also why everyone should always be careful about "working hard" publicity, as no one said this about russell when he was still here.

i still think russell has substance use problems. it would explain a lot.

LakerChapo (popular on Twitter) is reporting that DLO and Ingram stopped following each other on Instagram. Also said Ingram told Magic at exit interview he couldn't play with Dlo anymore.

i doubt the last part. doesn't seem like ingram's personality. if that did happen, i'd be annoyed. you don't have the kind of rookie year ingram did and then start making personnel suggestions.

@abeer3 and @432J you both make great points. True or not, I wonder if DLO heard about it (rumor or true) and deleted Ingram. I'm not on Twitter, Instagram or anything besides FaceBook, but I know deleting someone is akin to talking about their mother to the young kids. Something happened.

Ingram's in game interview in that rising stars game was not a joke... something like DLo was not a willing passer.

Whether BI and Russell were huge friends or not doesn't matter.

IMO Russell had a big ego. Wasn't happy with Ingram being the new "superstar waiting to happen" in town. The same way he wasn't pleased with Ball "the Lakers future PG" talks. His ego wanted everyone to talk about him and build around him.

Matter of fact, he is gone now and we will find out in a few years whether it was right or wrong.

Three things seem to be sure about him

    1. Russell is super talented
    2. Russell is immature
    3. Russell has bum knees

He will get mature as time goes on (hopefully) but his knees are worrisome considering his age and style of play (not exactly the type of player to put pressure on the knees).

The knees were and remain a definite concern.

A lot of the rest is maturity and time will tell.

I'm sure his first year there has not gone as planned. they are only 6 games out of a playoff spot, so maybe he helps them make a push in the coming months.

dinwiddie's won his pg spot. though i do think the two of them could play together pretty well.

I'm not sure that he's won the spot in the eyes of everyone, as there's talk that Dinwiddie shouldn't be starting now. I don't agree with the sentiment, mind you; he'd be a decent option to run the point and let DAR play off ball more. I'm not sure what's best for the Nets, but it's not a bad problem to have.

    All in under 28 MPG:
    Dinwiddie's at 13-6.5-3
    Russell's at 21-6-5
    LeVert is 12-4-4

Here's an article from this month on LeVert for PG, but there has been talk of him as the starting PG since early December.
