Russell looks good under Atkinson and I figured he would.

I am an expert on such things. They should have at least consulted me on the trade.

wouldn't it be better if they're middle of the pack in the Eastern Conference to decrease the value of the pick that's going to the C Bags next year?

He's going to have to put up monster numbers for them to win any games, especially now with Lin out.

Well that's some consolation. Cleveland's effed again after LBJ leaves so better they get the pick than Boston. Though of course Boston really hurt with the injury to Hayward as well.

Had another solid game today. Still not a lot of defense...and nets haven't played anybody worth noting yet.

But if D-Lo keeps this up...and we end up with nobody next summer...It'll be very hard for me to forgive rob and magic on this one.

Of course, Kuzma and Lopez would need to still be with us and be killing it for this trade to be worth it for us as well...

I don't mind trading him but i do mind the reason: we are gunning for superstars that may not even be available!

This team is better without him. WIth or without future superstars. Its the classic case of a good player on a terrible team putting up great stats.

Yep. Maybe we just lack in coaching and player development? Guess we'll see...

Seeing him succeed elsewhere really doesn't give me anymore confidence in this staff...really not sure on Walton.

Also Lonzo's averages. :D Forgot about the kid who actually replaced D'Angelo.

    Usage%-
    Ingram- 20.9%
    Lopez- 25.1%
    Russell- 31.3%

    Lonzo's averages by the way:
    14 PTS, 9.1 AST, 9.8 REB, 41.1 TS%
    Usage- 22.9%

Basically the only difference between Russell here and Russell in NY is his efficiency has skyrocketed to an amount I don't think is sustainable. He's right now shooting 51% overall from the field and somehow shooting the exact same from deep and from the free throw line. I expect that number to drop. Also, he's obviously got the ball in his hands a hell of a lot more than he did in LA and more than any of our players do (except Jordan Clarkson who has a 33% usage rating off the bench!).

He's also played Indiana, Orlando, and Atlanta.
We've played the Clippers, Suns, and Pelicans.

A bit of a talent difference there. But hey, let's all be clear: this is what should have been expected. Russell has his own team, especially with Lin out for the year. I hope he does well for himself and I hope he helps that team win games.
