There's a very slim chance 28th pick would have cieling like Winslow n by time he's rdy for ext the team would already be capped so wouldn't matter...more likely Mia is the one that says no

I would do it, it's a gamble..but Winslow could be a good gamble as you possibly wait for PG to come. They might not want Black cause of his salary. It might take 28 and Nance. Or 28,Robinson and Nwaba.

I'd like to see a small ball line up of

    Ball/Fox
    Russell
    Winslow
    Ingram
    Randle

I'd do it. Pick #10 for a late first and an undrafted player. No way Miami takes that though.

See if we're talking #10 I probably pass... what makes the scenario cool to me is talking giving up 28 or 28 plus some.

The #10 pick was in reference to Winslow. Miami took him 10th.

That was based off his potential on a sweet championship run in college.

His value doesn't hold up to that anymore.

Looking at 3 mock draft boards from 2015, they had Winslow going 6, 6 and 7.

He's barely a second year player and he's performed as well as some others drafted around him in 2015. He was starting to trend up this year before injuries ended his season early.

"As well as" according to what?

He has the 28th best FG%, 33rd best 3pt%, and 36th best FT%, and only 42 players from that class have appeared in an NBA game so far.

He's 21st in Win Shares, 30th in WS/48, 15th in BPM, and 12th in VORP. He was 14th at his position in DRPM last season and 39th this season. That's good, but why am I giving up Tarik Black for that? Black was 32nd and 20th in the last two years.

I think Black's production is replaceable if need be while we get a good young wing that could play both sides of the court.

based on our scouting departments history and seeing what Winslow has produced so far in his young career I like our changes or you can't really say for sure.

In MouthDing's recent article he spoke about both D'Angelo and Randle having serious question marks from the Lakers.

For Russell it was about his professionalism which came and went last year. He was asked to step up and be more mature and take this game more seriously and he wasn't always on that page. The Lakers like him a lot and love his talent, but these are the questions we go into the summer and next season with for Russell. Ding's exact wording was that Luke asked D'Angelo to be less of a "know-it-all and more of a leader to the group".

I'm eager to see D'Angelo this season. I think he's going to make the progress we all are hoping from him. I'm not as high on him as some, but I still think he can be a very good player.

He is special. No doubt. I hope Ball pushes him, though. Healthy competition.

If anything Ball is going to make Russell more efficient.

Less of Russ trying to force the issue trying to make a play, and focus on what he does well, that is shoot.

I felt a lot of D'Angelo's shooting efficiency was directly affected by him always having to think about making a play as the lead guard, taking contested jumpers as one of those options, and fatigue both physically and mentally running the offense.

With Lonzo, he can focus on getting to his spots and getting open, much like Klay and Curry do together. And since both have above average vision and outside shooting, they can swap roles playing off ball the same way.

Sounds like BS to me. Why would you trade Russell, a number 2 pick, for a #8 or #10? It makes zero sense, especially chances of Luke Kennard or Collins becoming as good as Russell is pretty much zero.

If we want to get rid of him, then I would trade him to Indy for George. Any other solution would be asinine.
