Assuming we get to keep the pick and say it's the #2...

Whose the best tandem beside Russell?

I like the thought of Ball/Fultz/Fox at PG and sliding over Russell to SG, or leaving Russell at PG and taking Jackson as a 2 way SG prospect?

It's Ball all the way. DLo is not a PG. he excelled when he was strictly a SG.

I like the thought of Ball too. If we do take Ball, and say eventually Paul George comes(Assuming it takes Randle and fillers to get him besides the top pick), we take Russell and fillers and try to get a stud PF/C to make this thing go right?

Ball-George-Ingram front court has a lot of length.. if Ball and Ingram combined can average 30+ I think we'll be just fine if we got a PF/C that can handle business.

At 2nd you go Ball or Fox, whichever tests and interviews better. Personally I think Ball is the better fit for this team, but Fox is an interesting kid.

I like the thought of Fox penetrating and Russell ready to shoot, but I like the thought of Ball being our taller Jason Kidd with the ability to drive and dish or pick and pop for that Tony Parker running jumper or tear drop.

I don't think he'll start out like Jason Kidd, but he could very well be the PG that makes this offense click. I think those are the two best players for the Lakers at #2 though. Overall, other teams should look closely at Jayson Tatum and Josh Jackson.

I haven't even thought of who to pair with Russell, just worried about getting the pick at this point!

There's zero point in trading Russell for anything other than an All-Star, otherwise just let him grow and get better. But why would a team trade us an AS for him unless it's maybe someone that wants out like Butler. That's the only way I do it.

Lakers are not trading Russell. He will be the 2 guard next year with Lonzo playing the 1. Lakers starters next year if no major players move will be:

    Ball
    Russell
    Ingram
    Randle
    Zubac

That team is perfectly positioned and has all the blend of youth and size you need to develop into a winning team. Lakers then would HAVE to aquire some difference makers in 2018 to get to the next title contender level.

I'm not Russell's biggest fan, but I like his shooting and I think we'd be fools to trade him. No way we get equal value. He's still REALLY young.

    Trust the process.

He doesn't suck he's just not the franchise guy you were hoping for. Then again he was picked by Jimbo so I'm not surprised
