I try to put very little stock into these games, I only go in wanting to be entertained. What I wanted to see was Russ looking like he was having fun, and he didn't, he looked like he has recently, like might not even want to be a basketball player anymore. Anyway, like I said I try not to put much into these games, but it's hard when all these other players out there are putting up big numbers and scoring at ease and stuff and our guy doesn't look on the same level as some of them. I get that Russ's game doesn't mesh with these type of games, he's not super athletic, but it's still not fun to watch.

Who do you think is the better player in 5 years?

    D'Angelo or Jamal Murray?

It's starting to concern me that D'Angelo already does look like he's plateauing with no signs of significant improvement from last year to this year. This year was supposed to be the year he makes a big leap forward after given a coach perfect for developing young players as well as the keys to the offense.

Jamal Murray's game actually reminds me a lot of D'Angelos game. Except I think Murray is a better 3 point shooter and is more athletic (speed/quickness and vertical leap wise). Plus Murray seems to be better between the ears than Russell.

If given a truth serum I would probably pick Murray as the better long term prospect over D'Angelo. I also think Murray and Devin Booker would make a great young backcourt for Coach Walton's offense.

Murray's shooting 33% from three, atrocious metrics across the board, but he's a year younger than Russell. I haven't seen much Murray, but I wouldn't trade Russell for anything short of a legitimate star already.

    I agree with this assessment.

There's no stars available, though. So, we keep him, and hope he matures.

Or...or...we remain patient. Yikes. Being a fan of a once great team is a pain in the a**. I so badly want us to be good again, but I don't want us to mortgage the future for the present.

It was an exhibition game people. Now Murray is the second coming because of an exhibition game? WINNING. That is what matters. And all the young stars blow a** right now in that department. Including Wiggins and KAT. Winning is what matters, not 9 3's in the Rising Stars game and 40 points in a loss at home.

If Mitch is steering the wheel, we're not getting fleeced.

Some of these young pieces are going to need to go eventually for some vets that help us win now.

We can't be in the cellar for much longer...

I'd take 40 pts and a loss over 40 pt loses anyday. The difference with Kat/Wiggins is even though they're losing, they have hope with their "young stars" ours is debatable
