I don't see Julius as a leader. And if he is, he has to accept the challenge on D, or we will be terrible.

Not that I disagree completely, but what is/was your takie on Nash nad Harden as leaders?

If Randle can take control of a game like either of those guys, I could see it. Both were responsible for 40+ PPG, so they could work to spur on the team. Randle doesn't set the tone on offense or defense.

Draymond Green is the heart and soul of the Warriors, but he is not close to their best player. I see Julius the same way. Being a leader doesn't necessarily mean being the best player on the team, it means keeping the team focused and in the right direction. I'm not sure that's a job he's perfect for either, but it's one he can take if he wants it.

I think in 2 years Ingram will be clearly the better player and may be our best player moving forward.

I think Nick Young is the heart and souls of this team.

Fair enough. I personally believe Randle can still develop a lot on both ends of the floor and actually expect him to. He's improved his offense significantly since last season IMO, he can also get better at defense. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic as usual, but I expect him to be a very different player in 2 years. He wouldn't be my first pick as the future leader, but I also wouldn't count him out. And I also believe he can be the leader of a very good team... some day

Our leader is A) on another team or B) Ingram when he's 24-25 :Noddingyes:

Got to see him play a lot when I was in DC.

Fun facts - he averages more turnovers than Russell and has never averaged as few turnovers in a season as D'Angelo.

Like him as a person, but with his injury history and all of his game being based on athleticism/speed no thanks.

hallmark of young players, especially guards. but yeah, you'd still hope for a little better than what we've seen.

    Wall's per 36 by age:
    20: 15.6-7.9-4.4
    21: 16.2-8.0-4.5
22: 20.4-8.4-4.4 (first big jump - in points)
    23: 19.1-8.7-4.0
24: 17.6-10.1-4.6 (big jump in AST)
25: 19.8-10.2-4.9 (put it all together)
26: 22.4-10.1-4.4 (big jump in pts again)

    DA's per 36 by age:
19: 16.8-4.2-4.4 (starts out as a better scorer and equal rebounder though younger)
20: 20.0-6.1-4.9 (big jumps in pts and ast)

Every bit the scorer and better rebounder than Wall. Assists lagging behind by a good bit.

BTW, their shooting compares favorably, too:

    Wall's age and shooting split
    20: 41-30-77
    21: 42-7(!)-79
    22: 44-27-80
    23: 43-35-81 (best all-around season?)
    24: 45-30-79
    25: 42-35-79
    26: 46-30-82

    Russell's
19: 41-35-75 (starts out on par)
    20: 40-35-77
Russ is already a better three-point shooter, and he's not far behind on the others.

I don't see a reason to think that Wall is a better player in the long run than Russell.

Me too. The whole team if we're being honest.
