And the nice thing about that is we will be seeing them playing a much more friendly schedule with more home games and less of a grind.

    Russell's 2017 averages so far in 5 games / 31 mpg are:

    20.8 ppg, 5.2 rpg and 5.0 apg, 2 spg

shooting 46.7% overall and 39.5% from threes

    :ShaqOh2:

Thats actually pretty insane numbers if he can even remotely keep it up. And he is still not even 21.

He's certainly looked different out there, as has Randle. It feels like something clicked into place. Of course with young guys whatever clicked has a chance of un-clicking at any given moment, but it's good to see a stretch of consistency. If he can turn this into a month I'll be very impressed.

He should have STFUed ... couldn't win against Lillard on one ankle .

0-24 against Blazers on 3s pre-season included according to Lakersfilmroom twitter

    Couldn't agree more.
That altercation was the turning point of the game.
Russell needs to know his place. STFU and just play.

As Lillard says here, he poked at the bear and got crushed.

should be a learning experience, but based on russell's post game comments, it wasn't.

he's talented, but he doesn't make it easy to like him. and i'm pretty sure lillard would indeed kick his a** as he indicated.

To be honest I didn't see much from D'Angelo's perspective on that altercation. D'Angelo is annoying to play against because he really does do the chicken winging thing where you throw your extremities out to get contact, but that's the entire NBA now. In fact Lillard did it earlier in the game and got an and-one out of it.

However, once Lillard stepped to D'Angelo and D'Angelo didn't back down, the whole team lost steam after that. It was weird. The whole team deflated behind the fury of one player on the other side instead of responding to the call. I like that D'Angelo is going to stand up for himself, but if you're going to do that then you better answer the call when the call is made. It felt like he tried to answer it, but then all he did was throw up 4 threes that all missed and the team's rhythm was broken after that.

I don't care about picking a fight, but you better back up your talk.

oh, for the record, i disagree with lillard's stance that he was completely innocent and was being accosted mercilessly (like dragic in the clarkson incident). but one responded and the other didn't.
