Cool. I like what the Lakers are doing or whomever came up with the idea of bringing back some of the legends of the past to speak to this young team. That was a very good move.

I hope D'Lo took note what Clarkson served up in the home opener. Our team defense can always get better, but closing the game out is a skill these guys need to learn. He didn't have the steadiest of hands during the 4th either

Awesome move by the organization and gracious of West to grant the request. This group should feel fortunate enough to have a Laker, no less an NBA icon speak to them. Not too many like him with that kind of clout and cache with other franchises for that matter.

Russell really has many references to draw from related to the Lakers...24, Johnson and now The Logo. Now he just has to steer away from clowns like Arenas.

Really pleased to read that happened.

Wonder what they thought when they heard about "grit" again.

He may have shot bad but he did okay solid defensively and got some nice assist, actually would have been more assist but many were fouled during his assist

Bad scoring night for him and Clark = loss. Not a big deal though. Growing pains, right?

Tough shooting night (as with most of our guys) but he stuck with it and had some really good D. Some nights are like that. But thankfully not most!

Wish he would play shooting guard and have the lakers get a real starting point guard.

We have to live and die with his untimely crunchtime turnovers for the next few years... it won't be pretty

Cowboys game was on so missed the Lakers game.

Just saw Mike (LakerTalk's) video and he went in on D'Angelo was he really that bad?

Said he has no heart, wasn't competing, didn't play any defense, and had terrible decision making.

I'll be concerned if that part about no heart is true because you either have it or don't, but I doubt that would ever be the case with D'Angelo. Sometime soon I've been frustrated with lazy play making and poor defensive effort, but never have I once thought he didn't have heart.
