Im convinced it's Lou and Randle in the starting 5 that's causing the slow starts. I'd roll with this:

    Russell/Huertas
    Clarkson/Swaggy
    Deng/Ingram
    Nance/Randle
    Moz/Black

Not a lot of bench perimeter shooting and crap D at the 1 and 4, but you have 4 guys who can push the ball full court. Run the wheels off the other teams bench.

Also swap Ingram and Deng mid year. Trade Lou for a pick.

I dig it. Maybe pairing Randle and Huertas will get Randle some easy buckets.

Im not sure Jules would take it well (being moved to the bench).

I'll say this, for the first time in years: "I trust the coach to figure out the best rotation/lineups."

I thought he had already banned you though, since he couldn't find and actually kill you? If a Boron falls in the forest and no one is around does it get read?

    :Crazyartest:

ALTHOUGH .... I imagine many people following that Lakers link or even him still just to see what he will say stupid next, will pass it along all over the place and he hasn't banned all of them.

I feel like D'Angelo Russell is the Lakers version of Dak Prescott. He's so good already and you get the feeling once he gets more consistent and as he continues to find his way in this league he's gonna be damn near unstoppable and a terror for opposing point guards.

I'd swap Clarkson to the second unit, and Nick to the starter, but other than that, I agree, that would be the best lineup.

Yup as long as we have a Brandon Bass or Luol Deng clearly outplaying him at the spot then it's too bad. It isn't like he's right on the verge of being the #1 choice @ the 4 in which case, sure let him in there now since he'd have been there soon anyways. We aren't even sure Jules will be a permanent starter yet. He needs to shore up those holes in his game because there are plenty of people that can just rebound. Still ain't got a shot? Well put them quick feet to some use on D ffs. Maybe you aren't ever gonna be that offensive guy you thought you were but you can move fast then you can play decent D even with the t-rex arms. Sometimes I get the feeling that JR is more of a 5-6 year project than originally hoped for but that isn't all that unusual either.

I love Julius and his energy and play making ability, but if you can't shoot, if your defensive awareness is what his is, and you're not willing to set screens which the only time I ever saw him set good screens was in Kobe's finale well then you cannot start in this league. At least not right now.

Probably the best thing the coach can do for Julius right now is bench him until he starts to do those things. Aggressive D, set screens, take and make the shot, etc. Maybe his confidence is shaken from the "Byron Effect"

The dude's been long fired and yet I'm still seeing Byron's face here on an almost daily basis. Stop the madness please.

i never know if you're being ironic or not, but you've perfectly articulated the philosophy of the man pictured.
