I try to yet I don't...would probably be the same fluff...same company lines...same clichéd comments. I really, really, really would rather see it on the floor. It will be so before we all know it. Nah...I would likely check 'em out. :)

Doesn't take away from ETG who is gracious enough to post them just to satisfy our cravings for Laker news.

Oh .... for sure with ElginTheGreat ..... no dis intended whatsoever. Just like many here sick of reading so much social media crap with the young guys and lots of it fuel to fire the "trillions" of Lakers haters on the planet. Their task turning this ship around is going to be tough enough without all the negative stuff on the internet.

When a organization like the Lakers have had a storied history...there will be other factions who will revel in our misery because (a) jealousy and (b) fear. Add to that the glamour and being a big market franchise. Comes with the territory. We're never going to be nondescript, vanilla like San Antonio.

When we get there someday hopefully soon...it will be a pleasure to thumb our noses at those haters.

It certainly is a different era now though for the hate, than saying the 80s or even early 3 Peat. The internet wasn't blowing ever f****** negative or whack thought everywhere of the perception of what's left at the moment of our legacy and respect ...... to literally hundreds of million people worldwide. These guys sometimes act like they are clueless. One more major screw up captured by a someone else's cell phone (DAR) from having their careers affected or maybe looked at differently now as a (PITA by the front office ....sell when high) and more bulletin board fodder nationally and internationally for the rest of the team to have to deal with.

Yes...Russell's indiscretions are concerning. We'll see if he learns quickly. Clarkson seems to have a handle on his media dealings. Randle is hardly in the news...very private and very focused. Ingram? Kid blew off his prom to be in the gym instead. That is somewhat telling how his attitude towards his life. Nance is also uncontroversial mostly.

Then there's Zu... Has an ummm, "mature" companion...enjoys people and does his own housekeeping.

LOLOLOL. Just had the picture of this young, 19 year old colt of a Big promising Euro being right there as most having his s*** together on this squad. Older woman, he's happy, he's feeling pretty "mature". (right here, right now this season) Hasn't been caught sexting yet or any other scandals. Julius right there with him .... engaged to apparently a fine woman he loves very much. :Chewie: even more technically sound for his position than Julius for his. Most effective grades in the summer league on our squad per Travis.

See what I did there for you, Big Guy?

Brandon? Yeah, him too with the urban myth of skipping his prom night to be playing basketball. (maybe he just couldn't get a date?) But his choice in hair style and walking on my lawn, and skin decoration knocks him down .5 on the scale of 0-100 same comparison. :Shaqwink:

Ingram could be another storyteller... Like he NEVER missed a free throw in high school. That jazz... Kid is having fun at the press' expense. I already liked him to begin with.

The prom thing? Unlikely Ingram couldn't get a date...big man on campus...star of the basketball team. :) The multiple tattoos and the hairstyle...everyone has some form of expression, everybody has something. Hell, Steven Adams wants to be another Tom Selleck.

That's great. He'll shoot a higher percentage this season because the quality of his looks will be better for him this season.

...biggest factor is that Russell will not be playing with a short leash. He'll have rough outings but it is to be expected.

I want him to really "figure it out" now as he said he would in his presser as a rookie. Seemed like he was maybe getting into that groove in late Nov last year and then mensa Scott benched him. So yes it is on D'Angelo now to walk the talk. He's seen what the best of them have with the Olympic experience. Needs to get even better with his handles and a lot of other stuff will follow. I want to see the "sports science" dude with his vision and reflexes we were sold on prior to LB giving Mitch the OK to take him.

LOL. He just wanted a chance to show off the beginnings of his chest ink. I'm dumber for having seen it. Sigh.

I guess Russel is taking Boron's "fistfights" rant to heart.

D'Angelo needs good influences around him. I'm unenthused by Nick Young remaining on the team.

...reading Medina's article, Young is still holding out hope that he stays on. Yes, he has to go as his presence will just cause problems.

To be completely honest, despite his mediocre play last year, if hypothetically the Young/Russsell thing didn't happen, I would love to have Swaggy on this roster on his current contract. He'd be behind Clarkson, Deng, Lou, and Ingram on the depth chart, but if any of them went down, he'd still be a capable bench scorer for 15 minutes a game.

You can't honestly say this isn't a good influence
