I noticed how the players keep on harping how great the coaches were. After going through Boron's unnecessary tyranny, players feel liberated.

Impressed with the leadership role he's taken on in both games.

The two big shots were great, the defensive mental lapse...not so much.

If Luke can get him to stay engaged for 48 and clean up the TOs, we're in business.

I also want to see him posting up more, using his size to his advantage. If he's not comfortable on the low block yet, send him to Kobe for some more work.

the amount of Hate I hear on ESPN even after Russell made that shot is laughable. Lakers haters are crouching in fear.

There's a lot of expectations for him this year and there should be; he has the potential to be a very good player in this league. I'm not expecting him to be our best player this year, but he will l probably be our most valuable. The straw that stirs the drink...

Randle [and Mozgov] will provide the brute physicality on the floor. Nance plays a more exciting wide open game but Randle does more of the dirty work. He will be asked to establish the tone while Russell directs. The latter will be the go to player when the game is in the balance but Randle will be the one to keep the crew from being run off the floor.

I'm excited. I think those are the ingredients for us to have a successful season. We'll surprise some people; that I am sure of.

That we will... When opponents start to notice, this group should grow that confidence and assert themselves even more. Ingram is likely a season [or two] away from having impact. It really is about Russell and Randle potentially at this point depending upon how the latter fares under Walton's schemes. I do have a feeling that the coaching staff are thinking of establishing an inside game first given how Walton noted Randle's ability and the signing of Mozgov. Likely lessons he learned from the Warrior collapse...

I also think Clarkson will have a breakout year. As it stands right now, he's our best scorer. I think the 'basketball rationale' for Mosgov was a to provide a better pick in roll option for Clarkson/Russell. Sure, he can play inside, but he's a very good pick in roll player that can set bone crushing screens and give Russell and Clarkson the space within this offense.

Mosgov and Randle can provide inside an inside presence, though. They can also provide a physicality, too. I can't wait to get to see Randle in space attacking the rim...

The thing with both Moz and Zubacca is that they set solid, thick screens.
