    Sorry....just trying to think through how lakers could possibly turn this into a Championship quality roster in 1 year. I think we are trying to do a modern day CP3 and D12 pairing here...but I am a huge Randle "Handles" fan.

    I would put up the cold beer mugs for us to drink on that but am wondering if Clublakers finally went kaboom. It's been down a couple days now. The owner sure kept his word about fixing the technical problems there. Not.

    easily the best lakers community on the web for so long, truly a shame that the site owner couldn't have cared less to improve it

    Yup, CL was such a huge part of my life. I literally grew up on that forum. At first, I was skeptical about moving over here. Now I don't even really care if that website dies. Because that's all it is: a website. What's really important is community, and this is the same community ... on a better website with modern features and a sense of security/support.

    ^precisely. I miss posts from those people who didn't migrate though, like rydjorker for example. I hope with time all the quality posters will come over. And by saying that I don't mean a certain clipper troll pretending to albo be a Lakers fan

    Yep. At first it was upsetting but it's us that made that website. Now that a majority of us are here, CL has lost its soul. And I'm okay with it because the community lives on here with much better support!

    Re- Trading Randle for Cousins: it's not happening. Even if Aldridge came through and said "I want to play with Cousins" I think the Lakers would find another way to do it. Send other picks, even Clarkson I think would be more available. I don't see a scenario where they pull that trigger.

    Besides, I think if I'm Lamarcus half the reason I'm coming to LA is to be the #1a/b option with Kobe. Who needs Cousins here to take my touches away? I think Aldridge would much rather play with a guy who just rebounds and defends.

    I have to echo a very similar sentiment. I think I was a sophomore in high school when I joined that website. I believe it was 2003? I was a member of that site for 10+ years. When the great schism happened because the owner simply didn’t care to check in on the website or even listen to the community’s concerns, I knew this was the smart decision, even if it fractured the community. Luckily a significant amount of the valued contributors decided to leave and come here. It’s great to know that I can still read and discuss basketball and the Lakers with the people who I have known for so long.

    Had some great times on CL: The epic Artest thread, a lot of great discussions in Open Court forum, becoming a mod...

    I joined it back in 2005 (I believe) just after we made the Shaq trade and was ecstatic to watch our team climb the mountain from the bottom with a bunch of fellow Laker Nuts. Made the '09 & '10 championships even more special, TBH.

    I'll always have a special place for that site. So glad most of the fam is over here still doin' our thing.
