    Dear Lord LT please stop googling "Kobe shirtless". The feds are already watching your search history.

    He's been hanging out with Devin Booker quite a bit. Nice to see they are growing up in this league together.

    @therealdeal don't you think Russell's legs are wayyy too skinny? He needs to get that leg strength so he can get more lift on those jumpers. What do you think? I Hope he strengthens that part of his body too.

    Nice to see him already working though....and that video of him dribbling is from last year....and yes I Like that him and Booker are tight. Will keep Russell competitive as he sees his peers getting better and better.

    Yeah that's one of the things I was saying: squats, deadlifts, and lunges are his friend. He needs some weight in his back pocket. All that stuff works with his core to keep everything tight. Just because Steph Curry is slight, doesn't mean he's not perfectly crafted for what he wants to do.

    If I were training Russell, I'd first focus on getting him stronger legs. Even in that recent shirtless pic of him (obviously this is tough to do with just a picture, but taking into account the full season I watched him) you can see he's got weak hips and a weak butt. His knees and feet point inward because he's taking pressure off his weak behind and putting it on his knees. If his butt was stronger, he wouldn't have to do that. It stresses his knee structure and you see a lot of kids hurting their knees this way. You don't need to be buff to play basketball like Boozer, Bass, etc but you need strength. Kobe was never really a buff guy (except that one year), but he was strong enough to a) take contact, b) create contact, and c) excel at the perfect combination of strength and agility.

    Speaking of Feds .... maybe a little less talk about Russell's butt might be prudent as well. :Magic Brows: He's probably got internet security looking after him.

    Russell can become a great player. His work ethic is questionable IMO.

    He talks a lot but to me he seems like a teenager who is overwhelmed with all the stuff happening around him. And he seems to be interested in the LA glitz and glamour as much as in basketball. He is also outspoken and has increased expectations because of talking so much about his work ethic and hard work before even being drafted.

    I'm not sure he WILL be great but he really has the tools. He just needs to really focus on just basketball...will he? I'll reserve judgement untill year 3.

    ^ I agree that it's hard to judge where his head is at, but the questionable part is his focus and not his work ethic imo.

    agree with the above. Russell has all the tools, but it takes more than that at this level. "focus" is probably the right way to put it. I think he (and Clarkson) works hard at improving his game, but it seems like he's got his mind on other things at times. randle doesn't strike me that way, for example, but Clarkson and Russell do.

    I'm just still scratching my head about their associations with arenas and kardashians. it's troubling.

    Randle = Young man
    Russell = Big Kid (Like Nick Young)

    Hopefully he grows out of it. Not too many people take Nick Young seriously. He's funny, but he's a big goof. No one will ever confuse him with someone who squeezed the most out of their talent.

    I don't get the NBA players obsession with the Kardashians ...

    It seems like they're the only "wowen" available in LA

    Or maybe the Kardashians have an obsession with NBA players

    It seems like they're the only "Ball Players" available in LA :Laugh:
