Anyone else sense the frustration somehow in this tweet?

If my team only won 11 games, I'd be frustrated too.

I'd be worried if Clarkson weren't frustrated.

I meant as in: why haven't they been starting together all along?

I think JC is sick of having to share the court with another shoot-first guard like Lou. The chemistry doesn't work.

Take the heaves out and he's up to 34.6% from 3-point range on the year.

    Since January 1st, he's at 37.8% from 3-point range, and a 53.8 TS% overall. (53.8 TS% is exactly league average efficiency)

    Thanks to GT...

They said during the game last night that he's 4th in scoring and #1 in assists for rookies. Imagine if he had a real coach.

Remember when this kid was allergic to the paint, opting to launch free throw line floaters once in there? Some nice finishes at the rim from the kid lately... off-hand no less.

Although he got yanked early, he came on strong when he returned last night! 22, 8 and 4? Heck yeah! And he and Clarkson are starting to generate some nice chemistry out there.

He starts very slowly. I'm sure it's part of his age and him trying to get comfortable on the floor. I'd love to see what they'd look like with an offense that's not centered around a hobbling 38 year old Kobe Bryant.

Clearly though this kid is night and day to what we saw in Summer League and early in the season.

It's all about pace with Russell. He has a lot of skill so I'm not worried much on that part of his game.

It takes some time for him to adjust to the game flow, but once he's dialed in, it seems his vision kicks up a notch and really gets a good feel for getting to the right spots on the court.

He's definitely a floor general out there with Clarkson being a bonafide SHOOTING guard.

Just like Julius, D'Angelo is getting better and better at changing speeds. Right now what I've been seeing is:
    - call for the screen
    - go around the screen one way but pull back
    - wait for the defender to follow into the screen
    - then blow the other direction around the screener and dart past the big help defender

He's been doing it regularly. It takes good change of speed and direction and he's handling it well. That can be a great weapon for him especially if he can also hit the step back three off that move.

Kobe said it best last night in his post game press conference when he was asked about his thoughts on Russell's development.

He said its very hard for him and any PG to be coming off the bench and try to understand the flow/tempo (pace) of the game and get yourself into that. When he's started he's been able to get into that flow and rhythm a lot quicker and easier. Just takes time.

he doesn't involve himself early in games, but that may be by design (byron) or even personal preference. when he chooses to assert himself, he's already something of a force. i feel like he's improved, particularly relative to randle, over the course of the season.

needs to stop being completely taken out of plays by screens, though.

D'Angelo looks like a superstar to me. He definitely has something that indicates a player that is ahead of he peers. We will have to find out but he has played well enough for me, even with the expectations of a number 2 pick and a potential superstar etc...

he is smooth as hell and has the "it" factor.

For a first year, 2nd overall pick, he's playing really collectively and his development is definitely showing with in his in game adjustments.

I really hope we can pair him next to a big that can finish in the pick and roll.
