Man I hope that's not true. To trade him right now (based on what I realistically think we'd get back) would feel like such a knee-jerk move and would just reinforce the incompetence of our front office.

I think it's just some random guy looking for attention. :D

I just thought we'd get a kick out of it. Unless Paul George is available, I don't see the Lakers trading any young guys right now.

To trade DA would be the height of stupidity.

Unless you get a young superstar in return, you don't consider that move.

Trade him and not bring back a superstar, I will be recreating that scene in Rudy where all the players put their jerseys on the coach's desk.....

But I will be doing that with all my Lakers stuff at the local Goodwill. That move would be it for me.

Also, to say Russell came up in trade talks could mean another team asked about him. That would actually constitute his name coming up in trade talks. If Mitch hangs up the phone without saying a word, it means nothing. I could walk up to Kate Beckinsale and tell her "I want to have sex with you every day this year." After I got beat up by her body guards, I could then come on this board and tell everyone that I talked with Kate Beckinsale about having lots of sex together. Is it true? Yes. Does it mean there was any chance of it happening. Obviously not.

Good analogy. Mitch should get some rumors going for LeBron headed our way too. I figure something like this:

Mitch: Hey Dave, you interested in trading LeBron?
Griffin: Hmm....let me check with my boss.
Griffin: Hey LeBron, wanna play in LA?
    LeBron: Nope.
Griffin: Thanks but no thanks Mitch.

Chris Broussard: Lakers and Cavs have discussed a deal for LeBron.

Reeeeally hope that isn't true, Russ is going to be special. He's already showing major flashes under an awful coach who hates him, playing limited minutes, in no real offensive system, and with a twig body. When his game matures and his body fills out, he's gonna be damn good. I'll add that Russ is currently my favorite Laker (also is awesome in NBA 2K16), and if he did get traded I'd be beyond pissed. I don't see it happening though, if we choose B0ron over this kid it will be the ultimate fail and I won't watch anymore. I've already stopped watching games this season, haven't seen the last 3.

All I can say at this point is that if we keep Byron and trade Russell I will be taking a nice long break from the Lakers for my own sanity. There are only a handful of guys I'd be okay with us trading him for and I can't imagine any of them are on the table.

    Good.

D'Angelo should be viewed as untradeable.

He's a legit boss at not even 20 years old. If we trade him and retain arguably the worst coach in the history of the NBA, I'll be f***ing livid.

"Three Angelo Hustle": When he has gotten 30+ MPG:

    16.5 points, 4.0 ast, 4.6 rebounds, 43% FGs, 43% 3pt

Wouldn't trade him for KD only because he's gonna be a free agent in four months. The idea should be to pair those two together.
