Tough night for the most part but he really started to click at the end. Should have been in there to close the game.

I don't think it was cockiness that bothered him in this game, I think his shot was a little off and Barea pissed him off. Simple as that. Should he have finished the game? Under a good coach, yes. Under this coach, no because everything because about D'Angelo in those final minutes instead of moving the ball offensively. A good coach inspires the right way to play. What we were getting instead is selfish basketball and bad coaching.

Honestly, I feel like some of these quotes are just you guys trolling and making them up to be stupid things Byron might actually say. Then I realize he actually DID say them. I instinctively now SMH every time I even hear Byron's name.

Byron is going to do what he wants, and I've come to accept it. Russell will be fine in the long-term.

Under the circumstances, I think Russell has acted and performed well.

Which is again on coaching because D'Angelo looked wholly unprepared for this defense. If Byron was a good coach, he'd have a counter that would have allowed D'Angelo to thrive, but I'm convinced Byron spends practices picking fights on his Instagram.

DAR's mindset coupled with this adversity will make him great.

Happy for D'Angelo. Hope he holds up okay in the game though...they might ask him to play more than 20 minutes, which is something he isn't used to.

Meh, they don't select bench players even if they practically average a double double.

They probably asked Byron's opinion before making their final choice. Guess Julius shouldn't have called him an a****** for taking him out of the game....

Hey we can say what we want and take note of the weaknesses in his game that need to be addressed, but his powers of observation are NOT part of them.

I would say that maybe they didn't want to have 3 Lakers on the team. I'd also say maybe they wanted a balanced roster position-wise, but then they have 6 guards and 4 C's/Forwards. I'd guess his recent struggles have something to do with not making the team as well, but even then he's averaging about 11 and 10, better than Jabari Parker I'd say.

    Jabari is averaging 11.4 points/ 4.6 rebounds/ 1.4 assists/ 0.8 steals/ 0.4 blocks in 28 minutes shooting 48.8% from the field and 0% from downtown.
    Julius is averaging 10.6 points/ 9.6 rebounds/ 1.6 assists/ 0.9 steals/ 0.6 blocks in 26.7 minutes shooting 40.4% from the field and 25% from downtown.

There is only one rookie or sophomore that is putting up numbers comparable to (or really better than) Julius and that's Karl-Anthony Towns. Kristaps Porzingis is the next closest.

Only three rookie/sophomores are in the Top 25 in the entire NBA for double-doubles:

    Towns: 23 (tied for 8th)
Porzingis and Randle: 16 (tied for 21st along with Draymond Green who also has 8 triple-doubles)

    Minutes played for those guys:
    Towns: 1384
    Porzingis: 1328
    Randle: 1229

If you use Randle's average minutes per game of 26.7 minutes: he's played 3.71 less games than Porzingis and 5.81 less games than Karl-Anthony Towns.

Never heard of this guy, but apparently he's super important with an XM radio show and everything.
