I just hope this all copies correctly:

    lakersyunowin:
    On Byron:

"I'm not trying to show him [Byron] anything," Russell recently said. "I'm really trying to show myself and my teammates that I belong out there, not the coach. Because they're looking to me for the play, not past me to him for the play. It's a growing experience."
    On Kobe:
"Can't do nothing about it. Just be a fan. Every time you watch, just be a fan and observe his every move," Russell said of Bryant. "He's our Michael Jordan. In my era. He still makes it look easy. You can say he's struggling, missing shots, but he still makes it look easy. When a guy like him says, 'That's a great call.' You're like, 'Yeah. That was a great call.' He knows his stuff."
    On playing the point:
"Point guard position, you've got to feed everybody and try to feed yourself. So that's the toughest thing," he said, adding that at times he gets in his "own selfish ways.”

“You've got Kobe demanding the ball and you've got [Randle] needing a touch, big man in the middle [Roy Hibbert] needing a touch, [Jordan Clarkson],”
    Russell said. “Very hard."

Also, the fact that Byron has Russell questioning himself as a player makes me furious beyond words.

'No bull s*** comments from D'Angelo on how he's perceiving things playing ball this season with the Lakers. F*** Byron but wow I am on the Russell train with his skills as a 19 year old and mental approach making lemonade out of being given lemons from "a-hole" >> :Coachbyron:

I like that Russ is speaking out. Everything he says makes sense and he's not wrong. Let's hope byron doesn't put him on the inactive list because of it.

This idiot coach is killing Russell's confidence, old school my a**...he's not doing anything to develop them all he's doing is frustrating the whole team including the fans, i doubt this is a mastermind plan to make everyone & everything better, sad reality is this coach is killing our team especially our young guys, and the front office won't do a thing about it because he's just a "bi-stander" It's ridiculous.

There's absolutely no reason right now to keep him on board. The excuse that comes closest to making sense is "If we fire him there's no one to replace him for the rest of the season, so there's no significant improvement".

That might be true, but he himself has become a source of contention now and it feels like he's daring the franchise to fire him. Sitting the young guys? Really? That's what you've got? The ONE f***ing job you had this year was developing the young players and now they're sitting on the bench and playing 20-25 minutes a night? F*** you Byron, get the f*** out of here.

Playing the rooks that little only makes sense if you have a good veteran squad ahead of them that's winning a lot of games. Newsflash Byron, that ain't your team.

HAHAHAHA. I'm sorry, but I like the little punka** upstart attitude going at the old guy past his prime. It's a good competitive attitude to have.

I mean that will probably be on ESPN and we'll be mocked even more as a franchise, but it's freakin funny and I like it. Dude is 19 and he knows how stupid Kobe is playing, that tells me he's going to be a player I enjoy watching play team ball when Kobe is gone.

Don't worry D'Angelo; you too can be apart of the 30//20/80 club.

Umm I'm not sure that was intentional. LOL. Love the kid! Just hope Boron doesn't do damage in his head.

Where is Kobe in all this I'm starting to wonder. I wonder if the kids wonder if he has their back now. WTF does Kobe not have a closed door meeting with Byron and ask him what he is doing with demoting these guys to 2nd string and cutting their minutes. Losing some more respect for you Mamba in addition to the shameless and ill advised chucking.

It might not have been intentional, but he shot it a foot over the hoop at high speed where he usually misses short (so IMO it was). It's still funny either way for the Kobe clear out hand gesture imitation. No screen, clear out, I got this.
