Russell and Mudiay's per 36 are nearly the same. Russell's shooting a much better % and I think with the same minutes as Mudiay he'd be considered the better point guard.

Hibbert needs to roll more. Also want to see more pnr with Randle, get him the ball in motion with the defense moving instead of an ISO at the top.

This is D'Angelo's bread and butter. That mid range of his coming off a screen is money. He hit like 4 in a row one time in preseason, yet we barely run and sets for him...

..... and I nominate for a once a month Open Letter to Lakers FO. Just being low key we can send it to PD at ESPN L.A. office and to the Lakers website feedback link and ask for it to be passed along. I imagine if you are working for the Lakers on line with their web site you are a Lakers fan. (or live in your mom's basement and took any job you could get :) ) ....... and would pass it along. :Jacksnicker:

Russell was fantastic tonight. He was aggressive from the start. Attacked the basket more. Wasn't hesitating. Was more descisive. Right now the offense needs to be run through him and Clarkson. Whenever it is good things have happened for him. Of course we got away from that again.

He played great, on offense AND defense, Raptors just weren't missing threes. This guy is not a bust though, the potential is too great. If he fails it's because he didn't want to be great, and I don't see that in him at all, all he needs is time. When he has an NBA body, and B0ron is gone, watch out.

He is such a talented player. Star potential. I really like what I am seeing from him, Randle and Clarkson right now. They will be ready next year. With a new coach. :Byronbye:

    DAR - 17/5/2
    Porzingis - 7/6/2

    WHO IS THE BUST NOW?

No surprise DAR has one of his best games when Kobe states he is embracing moving the ball/letting DAR have more control and Byron lets him play instead of benching him. Roadblocks to success finally moved the eff out of the way for one game.

I hear you, I just don't think it's going to happen. The FO has committed and I just don't see them doing it. In a worst case situation (terrible record at the end of the year) they still increase their chances of keeping their draft pick. If they fire yet another coach they look incredibly unstable. I just wish that they would tell him to stop messing around with the terrible lineups. Play the guys at the positions they are used to playing. That would at least give us a fighting chance. And also it wouldn't hurt them to insist on Russell playing more minutes. Jerry Buss did that to Del Harris when he wasn't playing Kobe enough to his liking during his rookie year.

Yes at least take him behind closed doors again, as "seems" to have happened right when he threw out his announcement that Bass / Kelly was going to happen for 10-15 more games to evaluate.

I am heartened by what I'm seeing from the kid. He seems to be getting better and better. And probably yeah, he is figuring it out. Only 12 games in and there have been lots of "flashes" of what we have here. His defense, rebounding and hustle are doing just fine, not to mention his stroke and some of the beautiful passes that don't always result in the assists they should have created.

I really think the young guys are all over social media and Lakers forums, etc, and have to know that not many are happy with how they are being coached. They have tons of support from fans who know basketball.

I remember this play in particular because I was glad he didn't give it to Kobe and took it himself

The Russell chant was literally right next to Medina and it was like 12 drunks. :D

I know because I was sitting next to them laughing as they spilled beer and got the chant wrong.
