He was decent on D unlike the previous games but still got backdoored a few times…He needs to study early Klay defense

    Dude lit it up!
Plus, he made a couple good passes and showed the ability to run the ball a bit.
He should take ALL of Cardio Gabe’s minutes! I’m completely done with watching Gabe do absolutely nothing out there for us every night.

Finally! Great to see him go Human Torch.

    Great reset

Hopefully he can ride the wave and gobble up some of the wasted Gabe Snell minutes.

despite a slow start from Max so far, I truly hope Knecht 4 and/or Max get a lot more burn as the season progresses. Might be pipe, but i believe at least one of these kids deserves 20+ mins per game (avg) by season’s end.

hope that game helps him get his groove going. he's too good a shooter to keep missing the open ones like he has been.

and one of these times he's going to finish one of those dunk attempts. he's been denied by good shotblockers twice, though.

he attacks closeouts pretty well, has a midrange shot, can finish, and can even pass a little. i hope he can be more integrated into the offense as the season goes on because he's already a legit weapon, imo. like reaves, he probably can't carry a load by himself in isolation, but if lebron and/or AD is out there with the attention they draw, he can find lots of ways to help generate offense.

That one in the corner where he elevates to shoot, understands it's a bad shot, passes it mid-air to Rui, readjusts his feet, gets it instantly, elevates and drains a clean 3 was crazy.
    He's really in the 1%

The one where he drove on the close out and Memphis got back but he was able to the turnaround mid-range shot was what makes him so tantalizing.
That's an elite playmaking/scorer move not just some shooter move where you just attack the closeout to settle for another jumpshot. Obviously not comparable with Knecht but that the kind of bag a guy like Durant has and not a Kyle Korver type

    It’s Dalton.
He just needs more reps out there to grow into a consistent offensive threat. He has the athleticism to become at least a League Average defender at his spot.
I really want Max to turn it around, but he’s looked as though he hasn’t progressed enough from last season. Maybe another year of development will turn him into what we need him to be?

Get that defense better young man and the sky is the limit - you can start seeing the confidence slowly grow each game

Yeah, they picked on him on defense a bit, he’s got to get better there in time. But, 14 points in his first start, really solid.

We finally got a shooter, finally. Yeah I’m sure he’s going to have his ups and downs, he already has in this early season, he’s a rookie, but the shot is pure. He also has some bounce

I still can't believe the Lakers got Allan Houston 2.0 with the 17 pick on the draft. Hell drop in the 3s and dunk it in your face just like his other Tennessee alumnus.

Reaves is already looking for him with those Jason Williams like passes of his. Once he gets more comfortable attacking the basket off the dribble he's going to be a real problem. Hes got a nice feel for cutting to the basket, dump off passes already so using som of that DHO stuff like Miami used to run for Olynk makes sense for the team
