I'm hoping that if we make some trades with some of our guards in the trades (DLO/Gabe/JHS), that it'll unlock time for both Knecht and Christie...Knecht especially. I think he can be a rotation player and we gotta give him the opportunity to play and develop him

I think this most likely signals Knecht is here to stay (which is my preference).

Usually if a newly drafted rookie is going to be traded, they’re traded as “draft rights” before they sign their deal.

Unless their salary is needed for matching purposes, then teams might “agree” to the trade, have the original team sign the rookie, wait 30 days, and THEN execute the trade (I think the AD trade went this way)

Knecht, widely seen as a steal for us isn’t going to be traded this season.

I'm excited about him. If you can add Grant or Cam Johnson to the equation, you're cooking. Spacing galore and that's not even including Reaves. A movement shooter to boot.

Just like Reaves, already universally loved around here without even shooting his 1st Laker basket

Most of us love our own draftees like Kobe, Magic, Worthy, Eddie, Nick the quick, and Reaves Lakers from the start of their careers who were good/great from the start and gives hope that they may lead this team someday.

This kid isn't going anywhere but up. With Ham gone he will actually get to play.

Now that Taurean Prince is officially gone - I hope that Knecht will get some minutes next year!

Looking forward to seeing him hit 3's and dunk on fools...everyone is still raving about this pick and heck I don't blame them!

I really believe had he not fallen to us, there was a good chance we were gonna trade this pick

When he got drafted, I immediately went to the YT highlights, and instantly thought of bogdan bogdanovich. His shot, form, and how he doesn’t have much lift in his shot.

the clip above as he curls around the guy, along w his shoulders/build, instantly reminded me of a Shawn Marion stance/movement.

I am just as excited as you all are for this kid and I truly hope he gets some burn right away. Him and Max.

he said the best NBA player is Kevin Durant, so his ceiling is a little lower than I was hoping. I think we can move him out of the High IQ category.
