I really hope not. He's one of my least favorite players in the league. Hate his attitude. The hissy fit he threw over being double teamed in a pickup game is the attitude of a Clipper. He doesn't have Laker quality pedigree.

You need a playmaker next to AD . I'd say Booker or Tatum are not ideal fits .

Doncic contract has a QO for the 2022-2023 season , it means he won't be a free agent until 2027.

Barring a trade request , forget about it

Thought about including him, but decided against it with his how well the team is doing.

But last year the Gobert issue and now this... could be an option.

I love how we are just monitoring discontent from star players around the league lol.

That said, yes, Mitchell would be great. I feel like he has the killer mentality that we need in a first option.

it's the path for us. the lakers will likely continue to be a destination of choice, and forced trades are the easiest route to acquiring them (you generally have to gut your team to get free agents in a way that repels free agents).

It would take an insane haul to get Donovan Mitchell. Do we even have enough to offer?

Cuban would do to Lakers with Luka what Clippers did to him with D. Jordan. Lock him away somewhere and employ elite brainwashing techniques surrounded by his Mavericks teammates.

    Tatum...

Horton Tucker could possibly make Mitchell and/or Beal irrelevant. Mitchell will likely be a cornerstone for Utah while Beal is entrenched in D.C.

I would have never believed this current Lakers roster possible two years ago, you never know. I agree getting any of those players anhtime soon doesn't seem likely though.

right. unless the nba can come up with a way to curb trade demands/power plays by agents/players, lots of things are possible.

To be clear, I don't believe Tucker will be on the same level as Mitchell or Beal. With Tatum on board along with Davis, to get either one would be pipe financially IF we sign Tucker to a deal. There is still money to be spread around for a strong, competent supporting cast. But then again, Brooklyn pulled it off...
