I think you are right on. Last summer league he picked up a foul a minute...lol. now too far the other way. I had much rather see him knocking people around picking up fouls. He needs a nickname like Moose or something to live up to.

 

He will score tonight like 25+ points and 8 + rebounds

Earlier today out walking I stepped on some Moose Nuggets.

 

I don't think we are too far off. I think every team should be looking to improve from every angle. Developing youth, free agents, trades whatever. If nothing else developing guys makes them easier to trade if needed. In cases like this off season where we came up kind of empty, at least so far, it would have been better if we had been developing the players we have. IMO, teams need to take advantage of every option available.

Castleton needs to get much stronger. He’s not ready for the league. 2 way contract was probably a good idea.

 

Much better game yesterday! He was more engaged and looked like he wanted to redeem himself from the last two performances.
I do agree with Sirron that he needs to get stronger, both upper and at his core. He seems to get knocked off balance too easily for a dude that big.

 

Rebounding and defense for sure need improvement but there’s a Lot to like from him on offense. Hit another three, handles the ball really well on the break, great picks, passing and scores from at or near the hoop.

One nice blocked shot he had to time right and get up for, and another he got jobbed by the refs calling a foul that looked pretty clean against their Big.

 

His motor was better this game.

 

still pushed around too easily for a 7' footer. Need to see a mean streak.

Exactly. With so many here down on CC, and not just the "Emotionals" but people that actually know basketball, I went and scouted him again to make sure i was seeing what i thought i was seeing.. I'm even more convinced the guy just needs playing time. He is working hard and has skills. Playing time will make him meaner as he gets knocked around and embarrassed a time or two or three he will start banging back. Nothing makes players bang back like watching film with your mates and everyone can see you played like a pu$%@.
